The future is cyborg?

If you could have the possibility to enhance yourself in the future in order to have a better life, would you? Not a neuralink kind of device. I talk about physical enhancement. About a future where our pain can no longer cause us problems.

I sometimes contemplated this idea. Dealing with occasional pain in my knee and hip, I had moments when I thought:I wish I could buy a spare knee and replace my broken one🤔😂

Being a little cyborg would be cool. If we could get to keep our mind intact and just replace the body parts that grow old and rusty.... It would be awesome. No more surgery, no more pain... You could go in a service, like a car, and get yourself some "transformers" upgrades.

This is of course very science fiction, but my imagination definetely takes it further in my facepainting. How awesome would it be for humanity to become such an advanced civilisation that the biggest asset we would treasure would be our mind? If we could use our body is as a mere presence in our life. If we could keep our senses attached to enhanced "spare" parts?

Of course that this could be debated. Our bodies are a form of expression. Including metallic parts nowadays is only under the form of prosthetics. People would not imagine themselves without their normal looks. But what if this could be a reality and we could make an imagination exercise? If we could fix issues ranging from heart malformations, knee and hip and other issues, repairing damages after an accident?

This is definetely an interesting topic to discuss and I am curious if people would approve to change stuff, what would they choose? I would personally try to remove the things that cause me constant pain. The only thing I would keep entirely as it is now is my mind.

Have a lovely day and toodle loo!

One of the problems is that of phantom pain which is pain you feel on missing limbs. So, one of the dilemmas would be, you cut off your leg, you put on a bionic leg, but then you begin feel pain in that missing leg. People lose limbs in war. When they come back, they continue to feel pain at times in their missing limbs. When you attach things to your body, your body can consider it (them) as invaders, germs, viruses, cancer, etc, and attempt to reject and destroy it. There can be side-effects to the extent technology is not perfect. So, if you can make a PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT thing for your body to become a cyborg, then you could hypothetically benefit from it. Another problem is that even if it helps you, it may not help another person who may be encouraged to do what you do. Some people may then do it and die. Another major issue is that cyborgs could be hacked remotely if there are no manual override mechanisms. Remote access would be a problem.

You are spot on, I think it is nevertheless an interesting thought for the future.

Many people are planting gardens, a return to decentralization, local markets, local markets, traditional values which withstood and withstands the test of time as being timeless as if time stands still.

I have respect for those people, tradition is there for a purpose. It has always been
