What's buzzing, friends?
We never know when an opportunity is good or bad - sometimes, we cry after we realize what a mistake we made. Then we look back at the situation and try to figure out what we could have done differently. If only we had known better than what we know now!
For instance, "Nolan Bushnell" is Atari's former boss and founder. When the company was still rocking, Nolan had several workers. One day in the 1970's, the employees came to their boss and asked if he wanted to invest in their new company - 1/3 ownership for a meager $50,000.
That little “no” would cost Nolan to miss out on one of the most significant opportunities in his life. The two employees who asked him to invest were Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. We are sure you can guess what the company they were starting was called. If you guessed "Apple," you would be right.
Nolan would later talk about this blunder by saying, “It’s kind of fun to think about, when I’m not crying.” (source).
It shows that you never know what will be good or bad. A crazy idea by two wet-nosed kids, either taking off to become one of the biggest companies in the world or just a waste of money. Who knows. If only we could tell our past selves to buy BTC when it was $0.10 or to invest in a company named after a fruit.
