It has been a long time since I last participated in #powerhousecreatives contest which is inspired by @zord189. Anyhow, looking at the theme for this week which is Super ME, it seemed to call out to me in many ways. I thought of my youngest son when I saw this theme. He always asked me," Mommy.. if you had super powers, which would you choose : Speed, Teleport, Foresight or Fly ?". I would randomly choose one of these selections just to make him happy. But, now thinking back, I should have selected Teleport.
Especially during these times where travelling is difficult, Teleport seemed to be the best gift ever. I would've been able to transport myself magically back home everyday and see my boys and then teleport myself back here and start work the following day. In addition, I would be able to spend the weekends with them too. I know it's make-belief, but then again, we've seen the movie Jumper by Hayden Christiansen. He may have used his super powers for the wrong reasons - focusing on stealing money from bank vaults and having luncheons at the top of the pyramid in Egypt.
My son's birthday is on the 5 August and if there was a chance I could've had these powers, I would really want to teleport myself back on this day. I told him that I may not be around for his birthday and he was sad for a moment. "I want mommy to come home for my birthday," he said and at that moment, I felt my whole heart burn with sadness. Super powers ? I really wish I could have it, at least for this one day.
There's no point in being sad about it because no miracle could happen. We can only be blessed that we have everyday and thank goodness to technology, I can speak and see them everyday. And of course, to my hubby who's indeed the pillar of our family.

I miss you all a lot and I do wish I had the super powers to teleport but know this.. you're always in my mind and heart.
