Simply spent the day designing today. Shut off from the outside world and did what I wanted to do! I think it is important we do that every once in a while :) I know I don't do it often enough actually... but I am becoming a little more selfish in that respect actually, lol!
Moving ahead with this new venture requires a lot of time outside of the design itself. There are many online store options which need to be considered - building an online presence in a tactful manner is paramount, connecting with the right people - oh and the list goes on.
It is also a matter of designing things that not only speak to ME as an individual (ie. I actually WANT to design them) but also stuff that appeals to an audience. I see a LOT of "funky" or "retro" stuff out there, but again and again I find myself leaning toward the feminine and elegant.
Ultimately, I am not looking at becoming the next "pop art" T-shirt designer - no, my aim is to appeal to the interior designer market. So despite the fact that it would be a lot easier to punt out a million tee designs a week... that is really not the market I am after, so with that I accept that this will be a slower process, but no doubt, more rewarding in the long term because a lot of time and thought goes into each pattern and when you finish it and finally SEE it on printed products... it is incredibly satisfying.

Would it be a really difficult deal to put out a few Tshirt designs (using your stuff you've done) AND work toward the Interior Design market? It'd be really pretty good if easy and good and right all came together in the same moment. It doesn't happen very often.
