I had also been writing and blogging for several years before joining Steem and also recall feeling really deflated in the beginning when I kicked off my feed by sharing some of my best work at the time haha... in fact, that is another "nugget" of advice that I would offer people... build up your blog audience before you release all your "big shooters" haha!
