Families are many things;
They may be close and loving,
Or they may be totally dysfunctional.
You may or may not get along with them, or
Not all of them, and
You MAY think that you don’t love them,
or they you,
But,
I think you are wrong!
There are things you can’t and shouldn’t forget nor accept,
But still,
There is room for love and forgiveness.
It is much the same with friends, though you
Get to choose them.
When you find a
Good friend,
Hold on to them for all your life; you never know when
You’ll need them, or they need you.
If you feel you have a
Broken family,
I URGE to Go Now and see if you can’t
Make Amends;
No matter if it was
Your fault or not.

According to the bible and many other sacred texts,
We all indeed, did begin as a part of one family of
Human kind. In the bible, it was at the Tower of Babel that
a united human race in the generations following the Great Flood, speaking a single language and migrating eastward, comes to the land of Shinar (שִׁנְעָר). There they agree to build a city and a tower tall enough to reach heaven. God, observing their city and tower, confounds their speech so that they can no longer understand each other, and scatters them around the world.
I remember as a child being told that we humans
built the tower in our pride,
Seeking in a physical sense to be closer to God,
rather than in the more
Important aspect of being
SPIRITUALLY closer to Him.
In any case,
we ARE all still family, so we should act
More LIKE family. Yes we disagree and we argue, but we are
All still products of the same source, cut from the same
Fabric.
We really do, all live in the same house,
We share the same home, eat all the same food.
THEY Manufacture Divisions, to keep us apart.
We have allowed this; so why do we grouse?
It’s in our power, to change for the good.
We’re in the same boat; distance? Illusion!
Individuals?
Yes, but don’t let that make you crazy;
Those differences make us
Stronger.
Think for yourself, don’t be lazy.
Propaganda, Sensationalism,
All cloud your reason;
They make things hazy.
Know in your heart of hearts;
We are one family.
Our Differences are Superficial.
One World, at One Table;
Sit down and eat.

Why is it so hard for us to see that there are forces that
Benefit from this disunity, and strive to keep us divided?
I am not really a "Conspiracy Theorist" but it would be
So very easy to fall into that trap.
It is a slippery slope for sure, but also it is plain
To anyone with open eyes that some governments,
Corporations and rich individuals thrive on
Our not being unified in one family.
