I have only been on this platform for three months and there is still a lot to learn and understand. But, to participate in this opportunity, I will offer my humble list of tips. Those that I would have liked to receive when entering Hive.

Maybe it will be easy for others, but my learning curve on Blockchain has been long. In part, because I entered through Steemit and, when I was not even a month old, was sold it to a crazy person and we had to move to Hive, which seemed like a great strategy. I congratulate those who made this rebirth possible.

Now yes, here is my list of tips:

1.- You have to be patient to enter Hive. For this, there are 3 ways:

a) By internal invitation, but I have tried to invite some friends and it has not worked for me.

b) Wait a week from the acceptance request. They ask you for a website. And if you don't have a website, you can create an easy, excellent and free one with wix.com. There you can put a resume and some work you have done on the field (s) of your knowledge.

c) Payment.

2.- While you are entering Hive, I recommend you watch some videos on Youtube on how to work with Steemit, since it is similar. I do not know if there are already videos about Hive, since it is very recent. If you speak Spanish, I suggest you look for the @mayvil videos. They are excellent and very simple.

3.- When entering Hive, you should register in a Discord Community, which is a special chat. I compare it to a Shopping Center where each store is a Community, and each community has a particular orientation. There are communities for each theme: Healing, Poetry, Writing, Creativity, Contests, Photography, Games, Music, Learning, Radio, News, Money Exchange and many more.

4.- Before publishing for the first time, you must read all the documents that Hive offers you, among which are: the rules, the definitions of all its components, limitations, restrictions, what can be done and what not to do. Mainly, it is about working with honesty, originality, great quality, quantity, without copying the work of others and without harming others.

5.- It is very important to understand that you will not get rich with Hive and that the early days are very hard, when nobody knows you or has seen your work. That the best way to ascend is to support others. It is a platform that is based on networking. Individuality does not help us.

I see Hive as follows: The blockchain grows with new blocks. Blocks are formed with transactions. Transactions are made up of content and curations.

The content is the writings, images, audios and videos that we all generate. Cures are the votes we give to the contents of other Hivers.

The Miners, who we call Witness, earn money every time they complete a block. Part of that profit trickles down to feed and motivate those who produce content and those who curate posts.

No one can go up acting selfishly, who comes with those intentions, gets bored soon and retires. More than 80% of those who enter are not active. The main reason is the difficulty they have had in meeting the degree of demand for the work we do here.

6.- It is very important that the first publication is a very detailed personal presentation. Don't be afraid to say who you are. You will see that the more transparent you are, the better for your growth. Of course, I'm not talking about you counting your intimacies hehe

7.- Internally, there are a number of wonderful people who are willing to help others. They have created a series of very interesting tools that show us everyone's progress on the blockchain and are free to inspect. Just as you can see the statistics of others, we can all see yours. It is an open, decentralized system (without an owner); we are all the owners, and as such we must be faithful to Hive, take care of it, protect it and strengthen it to the maximum.

8.- Little by little** you will learn about the topic of rewards**: how to earn, how many forms of reward exist, how to invest them to earn more, when to sell your cryptocurrencies, where to sell them, and other additional topics.

However, there is something elementary that you should know; Although most of us enter this world because it generates real economic income, once inside, we understand that Hive's dynamics goes beyond that. Brotherhood, Solidarity, mutual support, camaraderie and hard work become the true motivation that, day by day, leads us to reach one more mile and not fail in the attempt. Your creativity, perseverance and honesty will pay off in due course.

9.- Do not let yourself be struck by anxiety and despair. Sometimes we feel like Hive drives us crazy with so many things we need to know, but that calms down, as we interact, learn, and doing the right thing becomes part of our work routine.

10.- Hive's Blog has a Parallel World called Peakd. What is done in one is automatically reflected in the other. For my part I prefer to publish on peakd, since it has many more features and tools than Hive.

11.- The idea is to leave you a mouth-opener, a guide of points that you will have to delve into. There are Discord communities that support you a lot with that training. The best ones I know are: @mayvileros in Spanish and @theterminal in English.

Welcome to this extraordinary Parallel World called Hive.

This is a wonderful post, @librepensadora. It's wonderful to hear insights from someone who is still so new and fresh on the platform. That must have been really crazy to join Steem and only a few weeks later have to move to Hive. It was crazy for all of us, of course, and some long-timers really struggled with what to do because of all they had built there. But it must have made your head spin since you were just getting started!

I can tell that you have really done your homework to get up to speed, and so you are a very good model for what to do in the beginning. (Back in 2017, I didn't do any of those things at first. I had no idea what to do!)

This is my favorite paragraph in your post:

However, there is something elementary that you should know; Although most of us enter this world because it generates real economic income, once inside, we understand that Hive's dynamics goes beyond that. Brotherhood, Solidarity, mutual support, camaraderie and hard work become the true motivation that, day by day, leads us to reach one more mile and not fail in the attempt. Your creativity, perseverance and honesty will pay off in due course.

That is both beautiful and true!

Hello, my consistent friend @jayna

Thank you very much for leaving me so many beautiful compliments.

This beginning has been very hard. Jumping from Steemit to Hive in just a few days was somewhat traumatizing, but I have already been learning, although I am missing a lot, thanks to the support of so many wonderful people who move this machine called Hive.

A big hug, dear brother. We will see each other many times hehe

A very well put together post indeed! And it's awesome that you did it in both English and Spanish! I think you covered an incredible amount of helpful information in your post that will definitely help the new Hivers.

That is the idea of this article, my dear friend @free-reign

Just as many have helped us learn how to manage ourselves at Hive, we must be grateful and provide our support to those new to entering this platform.

Happy day brother

GREAT POST!!!
