This time I will join the initiative that @timsaid brings us, encouraging us to show some shots that we have taken during these days of confinement. Today I will show you a butterfly called Crimson Patch Butterfly (Chlosyne janais) i decided to apply the selective color technique to highlight the beauty of the insect.

El día de hoy mostraré a ustedes una mariposa llamada Mariposa parche carmesí (Chlosyne janais) y decidí aplicar la técnica de color selectivo para resaltar al bello insecto.}

That little butterfly fluttered among my plants, I observed it from a distance for a moment and I realized that it was not quite well, since it did not usually fly like all the other butterflies that I had seen before.

^{Esta pequeña revoloteaba entre mis plantas, la observe de lejos un momento y me percaté que no se encontraba del todo bien, ya que no solía volar como todas las demás mariposas que había visto antes.}

I approached carefully and I could notice that the butterfly was with very badly damaged wings, on certain sides they were destroyed (it was more noticeable in the ends of the wings) that is why it was difficult to fly.

^{Me acerqué cuidadosamente y pude notar que la mariposa se encontraba con las alas muy maltratadas, de ciertos lados estaban destruidas (era más notorio en las terminaciones de las alas) es por ello que le costaba volar.}

In addition to being thirsty, she flitted among the plants trying to find some water, she went down to the floor, as since minutes before I had watered that part of the garden, and it continued was wet, she perched on the floor and tried to drink water although it seemed not be enough since it quickly flew again.

^{Además de que estaba sedienta, revoloteaba entre las plantas tratando de encontrar algo de agua, bajaba al piso ya que minutos antes yo había regado esa parte del jardín y se encontraba húmedo, ella se posaba en el piso y trataba de beber agua aunque parecía no ser suficiente ya que rápidamente volvía a volar.}

After a while she settled down to rest on the leaves, she looked very tired since she only walked between the leaves and the small branches of the plant, at that moment i taked the opportunity to take a few captures.

^{Después de un rato se dispuso a descansar en las hojas, se veía muy cansada ya que sólo caminaba entre las hojas y las pequeñas ramas de la planta, en ese momento aproveche para tomarle unas cuantas capturas.}

I obtained her trust by staying there with her, doing all the possible shots, I put my hand near her and surprisingly she went up in it, she felt very comfortable with my presence and she got into my hand without any problem.

^{Me gané su confianza quedándome ahí con ella, haciendo todas las tomas posibles, la acerqué mi mano y sopresivamente subió en ella, se sentía muy cómoda con mi presencia y subió a mi mano sin ningún problema.}

And I did not waste the great opportunity to make a few shots with my phone; in certain shots that he kindly let me do, you can see how battered his small and fragile wings are.
