It has been over nine months since I posted on any blockchain platform and that's because I was saddened by the state of things, however I am glad that we are making a headway towards a community driven platform.

it is great because good actors would be recognised for the efforts they are putting in to the ecosystem while bad actors would be called out if they do things that hurt the community.

I making my comeback with the Power House Creatives communities, I have know @jaynie from her work with Steemit Bloggers and I am confident that I am in the right place.

I would be writing a series of helpful blog posts that would teach on a variety of topics ranging from branding, skills and a whole lot of things that it would take to build a successful brand or business online.

They would all be published under the tag Internet Truths and every content there would prove to be helpful to anyone who reads it.

Let me move ahead to my very first article that teaches the five major things that you need to pay attention to if you are seeking to build an online brand.

These principles are universal and work on any platform where Human beings are.

You Must Attract Attention

You have no income future online if people don’t know that you are there. There are a lot of people who repeatedly fail to bring attention to what they do because they fail to draw attention to themselves.

Where are the places that I can drive attention to myself ?

The best way to draw attention to yourself is to talk about what you do in the places where the eyes and ears of people are.

This means that your Facebook friends, your WhatsApp status viewers, people in groups that you are part of should know what you do.

I have had people in WhatsApp groups that I am a part of reach out and pay me for my consultation advice on topics that I have knowledge about.

If you are in a group and matters are raised on issue that you are knowledgable about, seize the moment to show your expertise.

You must’t talk every time in groups but when you do make it count. People will notice.


You Must Know The Needs of People

This is why talking about what you do or marketing your knowledge is important. When you talk actively and consistently on a particular topic or topics you would get Interaction from people who need help in these areas.

Your interaction with them will help you know what they want and it would be easy for you to sell a solution to them.

If you shy about what you do or know then you will never make money online.

Some people are experts at posting memes and jokes on their status but when the time comes to talk about helpful topics they become shy and overthink it.

If you keep focusing on what people will think or say you will never do anything remarkable

Knowing the needs of people would also help you understand the group of people that needs your products.


You Must Stick To What You Know

It is very important that you stick to the things that you have knowledge about.

Many people leave their area of expertise an talk about things they have no business talking about or try things that they have no business doing.

Their is a best practice when it comes to creating any form of online content.

The key is to only share when you have proof of work on, that way people would connect more with you are talking about

You would also need to do a personality test to discover your strengths and weakness.


You Must Define Problems You Can Solve

People need to be aware of your difference, as You Interact with them let them know the solutions that you have to offer.

People can’t pay you to solve their problems if you they don’t know what you do.

So as you learn skills and build specific knowledge in a certain area, make sure that you are informing people of the problems that you can solve.


You Must Learn How To Listen

The internet is filled with people and every single day they talk about the things that they need help with and also the things that matters to them.

The first step to connecting with people is finding common ground

When you listen and know what people really care about then it could be easy to connect with them.

Don’t spend all day talking and not caring about what people are saying. Don’t focus on you think people need, focus on what they want.

Meeting Wants not Needs is the fastest way to bring value to people.
