It's officially Spring, two weeks into spring that can bring green shoots, leaf buds, and early Spring blossoms of pussy willows and crocuses.
I decided I'd look into my crystal ball to see what type of spring it would be.
Low and behold, twas nothing but snow! Icicles and layers of snow!
I looked in all directions. There was beautiful scenes of snow laded trees.
There was no sign that April showers may bring May flowers (more like May showers will bring June flowers here!)
There will be no green blades of grass poking it's head out with two feet of snow covering the ground and more forecasted.
Mother Nature is playing tricks on me!
It is the time of the Full Pink Moon as named by the Native Americans, where there should be moss pink, or wild ground phlox appearing but not here!
It is said that what ever weather the full moon brings this is the type of weather you'll be having for the next while. Our temperatures are milder but not mild enough for it to rain instead of snow. If this keeps up then turns to seasonal temperatures later in the month I think we will see flooding instead of the nice slow melt I though we would get. That may be my next subject instead of the winter wonderland shots!
Are you seeing signs of Spring yet? If you care to share I'd love to hear about them, then I can live vicariously through others lovely Springs! In the meantime I shall enjoy the magic of gazing at the full moon!
All photos were taken with my Canon PowerShot SX60 HS
The first photo is my entry to the Photo52 Challenge found here

GORGEOUS captures, @porters!! And such a lovely idea to capture these at the full moon - you are indeed the earthly mirror.
And yet, under all that ice and snow, Spring is already there. 🌷

You really don't get much warm weather where you live, do you...
I've been trying to post every day as things start popping up around here on the farm...
Oh wow, you are using a lense ball !! those are so amazing. I still have not used mine so far, but going through your post makes me want to try it out, hehe ;)
Ya I tried it a few times when I first got it then I put it away for awhile until someone inspires me then I pull it out to give it a try again.
Some one gave me some tips for turning the photo around (because the image in the ball is upside down) and also to leave enough in the background for referencing the context of what the image in the ball is about!
Looking forward to seeing what you produce!
Hahaha. I'm thinking that must be Spring in Saskatchewan! Great idea!
Yep! Spring in Saskatchewan very late in coming!
