I am thrilled to part in this amazing contest once again and if you wanna have fun, participate in this contest link, click here Week 9 by @bliss11 and @drakernoise
This week I am picking one of last year's Diwali festival picture, few lights on our verandah. The light which glowed to it's best and I believe the lights will go on again this Diwali sawing through the darkness. Tried to change the yellow haze of it's original and attempting to make it different using the various effects.
This week's entry
This is optional(Black and white retro effects)
This time I used two editors one Gimp 2.10 and PIxlr E. Using Gimp editor I have first converted the image to 32 bit and adjusted the shadow highlights, Hue and saturation. Also adjusting the pink and blue colour.
After adjusting, added the Lava layer effects in Gimp
Then through Pixlr E added the Dehaze, fringe, gritty effects and tuned a bit for the first photo
For the second image, just added old effects on top of these effects.

Welcome
Wow...is that a lamp? Or light? I don't know what to call it..hmmm, how is it...is that oil inside of it that keeps it burning? As for the effect you did good with the different edits and that of your entry is cool and simple. Thanks for participating in the contest. 😃
A light we can say fueled by oil. Thanks!
Well that was a serious editing job using some nice tools. It resulted in a classy image that fits all quality albums, well done @razeiv.
Thanks for explaining the creative process which I appreciate too much cos it can help others improve their skills.
Glad to have you participating and best wishes for the voting time! 🤗🤗🤗
I appreciate your comment 🙂.. Thanks!
Photo editing is always a challenge... I've tried gimp in the past. I usually use my phone so I stick with phone apps now to edit. I have a pretty good smartphone so it's nice for photos. My goal is to get my DSLR working again. I might do it soon after all of this mess is over and we can go regularly to stores. Have a great weekend.
