A new trend in the city
It was a birthday party of my son's friend, at KEGS AND Barrels, a rooftop bar and restaurant, which we experienced for the first time. They have got two floors and the rooftop is the most crowded place, because of the ambience where mostly teens or young crowd were seen enjoying the food, drink and hookahs. This is not new to me, as I have spent a considerable time at Bangalore, the pub city of India. But then seeing this trend at a conservative place (Temple City of India) like mine, felt a little odd. But then a time is coming where we have change ourselves to accept the change. This kind of culture is more prevalent in IT cities like Bangalore and Pune where people enjoy the weekend and relax on Sunday and get back to work. Slowly, more and more IT companies are starting their operations at my place, and probably, these business know that there will be demand of places like this.
Even though most of us felt that the place to celebrate the birthday party of very young kids like ours, was not appropriate, we were able to manage them to focus on our party instead of the ambience that was not meant for them. Certainly there will be a time, when they grow and will be independent to decide the good and bad, but right now, we have to behave like a friend and inspire them to differentiate between good and bad.
Gorgeous ladies definitely shined and took charge of making sure, our kids are spending the time at the right place. At one point, kids wanted to go and watch the place where the artist was performing and beer was being served and they were allowed. You certainly can't enforce restrictions now a days, unlike our time. So best is to let them see what is good and bad, and seek their opinion and if they are wrong, then counsel them.
The way the ladies dressed initially felt a little odd to the place, because most the young girls present there, were not wearing anything traditional or even full. But we still feel confident that, these attire are gently elegant, and wearing reveling dress does not make one beautiful. Do you agree ?
The boy wanted me to dress similarly like him to match and his wish was granted. From this age, its best to be like their friend to build confidence.
Food was tasty, but a bit of spicy. Service quality did not feel like very great, I just ordered one extra roti, and waited for more than half an hour and finally gave up waiting for it.
Overall, the place is certainly entertaining for young people who want to chill out, but then the price and service are not that great. May be they don't care about that !!!! Watch the video to feel it yourself.

Time is changing very fast....it does not take long to see even the religious places getting modernized in a big way .... I can understand how does it feel to find such set up in conservative places... this one is very demanding in my area, and won't take much timr

It is a good gathering having such people around to celebrate the birthday and am pretty sure everyone had fun.

Looks like it was a pretty cool place to hang out. I have been to places similar to this in the recent past and it mostly reminded me that I am an old man now and I should probably leave places like this for the younger kids!
Yes, places like these are for young people, but that does not mean, we cannot enjoy there, We will feel young :)

Kids enjoyed alot there and You are saying right that we should let them having space to know what's good or bad.
But I think we should stand by them to told the right path. We should guide them.

You and the young boy look so astonishing. I love the dress code, it suit the two of you. And the young ladies are not looking bad in the dress. I think they prefer to blend with the present world than still dressing in a traditional way.

The times are really changing and a lot of things that were looked down upon back then, are becoming the norm now. Revealing clothes and drinking parties are just some of the things that are prevalent in the youth of today.
The place where you had the party looks nice, but it seems you were paying a lot for the supposed ambience more than the food and service. Since it caters to the youth and parties, that would explain a lot of your experience.
Birthday is a very special day for all of us and so we all enjoy this event with our family invite our relatives go to our home or a special place then this time. Too much is special and one spends too much fun.

When children grow up they should be treated more like a friend. This point of yours is correct, were many of them fail. Unless and until you are open they wil not come up with their problems to us.
