A very good morning to all of you lovely Hivers out there! Welcome to this mornings edition of the.....
Monday 9:55am at The Henry Hotel in Cebu City. I'm having a bit of a late start today as we were out for dinner and drinks last night and then followed up with watching the Formula 1 race which due to a very scary looking accident was delayed over an hour and didn't finish until after 1am our time. Was worth it though as it was a very pleasant day. We left Moalboal about mid day and its a 3 hour journey to the city. Checked in drinks, more drinks, dinner and drinks followed by more drinke at the hotel and then F1. I slept well!
I do love this hotel but as with most businesses, mine included, they are feeling the pinch and have very few guests. The pool isn't open either which is a blow as I was hoping to do laps for an hour in the morning but it's still nice to be in a different environment after nearly 10 months of just being in Moalboal. it is nice to do the coffee morning ramble from a new location also. I need to scope out the area to see if there's another option for tomorrows edition. We shall see.
This is a nice spot for this morning. It's still amazing what a change of environment can do for your mind. To be away from all the normal routine and the routine annoyances, bliss. We have a great view where we live but as I mentioned to someone the other day I bet Papillon's view was amazing when he was on Bagne de Cayenne commonly known as devils island. I can't lie though it does help having a nice view. We've had it better than many folk , this I am well aware and grateful for. But for right now I think I'll have another coffee....
