Having a pet is incredibly great. Animals have always had a special way of enriching our lives with their unconditional love. It is difficult for me as a person to stay without a pet. I feel so indifferent being with pets or being with human, literally now.
As a zoophilist that i am, choosing to become an animal if I have the powers is quite an easy one for me, a million years to come, I will choose to be a DOG.
I am a cynophilist
Dog is unarguably man's best companion. There are so many things, character wise to learn from a dog. All it takes to be loved by a dog is just one very close look, they make very good use of their sixth sense, once they are familiar with your smell, they can recognize you even in the dark.
Power of Bonding
Dogs have a strong sense of bonding with their owners, the hormone oxytocin is the bonding agent. Dogs relatively experience an increase in their oxytocin levels after playing together with their owners. This is the reason they do not bark at them but rather bark at strangers who they see as threat. That is directly describing me as a person, I get attached to people who we have a deep connection, and overtime, the connection goes deeper. That is what a "MeDog" will be if I have the powers.
No Boring Time
Whether you’re in a good mood or bad mood, dogs however always have this pure and affectionate love that immediately brightens your day. I have never seen a sad dog except in the movies, or you're starving her. Man always want a life companion they can relate their feelings to, though dogs won't talk except in animated movies, they will always give you this sense of compactness like someone is listening. They may lick you up with their wet tongue to show you they care and would like to listen to you more. Talk to a dog and he will never complain. What more can I ask for?
Talk About Loyalty
There's this common saying, "As loyal as a dog". You will wonder why any other animal were not used in that phrase. It is simple, dogs are loyal and so am i. The loyalty of dogs surpass that of human to human relationship most times. A dog will neither betray nor deceive you. If you have fed a dog once or twice, it will be your friend, and what does being a friend imply? That is someone you can trust. Trust is a resulting effect of loyalty, that is one rare substance you will hardly find among humans. Look here, I found loyalty with/in dogs.
Dogs have feelings
Animals invariably have the same 6 senses as humans. "See, touch, feel, taste, hear, smell" are attributes of this mammal. While it is plausible for dogs to have a romantic with human, it is noteworthy they also feel compassion, love, resentment, fear just as humans. No matter how hard you treat a dog, so far you feed, house her, she will never bite you except its a friendly mis-bite. [I invented that word anyway].
I relate same way a dog does, if you have fed me, clothed me and you're being hard all of a sudden, I will never bite you in the back. Human will always be human, so no need to feel overly insensitive in harsh times.
Selfless and Simple
Ever wondered why humans love dogs? It is because they are selfless, simple and contented. You will never see a dog uncomfortable in their own skin, it is humans that go under the blade to alter their body [not judging those who do]. They barely express dissatisfaction.
A dog will give their heart out without expecting anything in return, that is some form of true love. Very simple minded creatures, that's what humans should be. If there's any magic or superpowers somewhere which can give me the edge to exist in two forms, i will find it and use it.
