31 Days of October - Day 23

Today was a good day. Not only was today Friday, but certain items lined up completely in my favour.

The day started like any other (except for the fact that I was awake about 2 hours before normal); got up, showered, coffee, yawned, another coffee, etc etc. I had the opportunity to try to actually do some curating today too! Not as much as I wanted (I'm way behind) but some.

Then I started the work day. Looked at my calendar. Free until 10:00. Not bad. I plotted out the day, including some work in the IT lab building out some open source software, which I was actually looking forward to.

Just after 9:00, however, two magnificent things happened: my 10:00 was cancelled, and I received a coupon in email for 50% off a haircut, wash, scalp massage, etc, from my favourite hair dresser. I was already in need of a haircut, so it looked to me like the stars were aligning! They open at 10:00, so off I went.

One of the features I like about this particular hair dresser is that they're in the same shopping mall as my favourite cheap toy store - the Dollar Store. I ducked in quickly, looked around, and was not disappointed.

Awhile back I had purchased a horde of generic lego zombies from this Dollar Store. Today that had bags of three for $1.00 per bag! Of zombies I didn't yet have! Cha ching!

They look angry! And they all have some sort of weapon! These zombies, my friends, are fighting back.

Lookit this gal. She's angry. She's pissed. And she's not going to take it anymore. She has been zombified and she's going to kick someones ass.

This chick looks like she used to be a nurse. "Please nurse, come help me!" Oh yes, she's coming to help. She's got a needle quite ready for you.

And this dude's got a chainsaw! A fucking chainsaw! And he's coming for you. Yes. You. You there in front of the computer. Watch yourself.

Here we've got the group of second amendment zombies. Yeehaw!

I think these two may have been siblings at one point. Hard to tell anymore.

I'll keep these dudes separate from my actual proper lego minifig collection, but I do like them. Pretty awesome for being so inexpensive.
