In May of 2018 I had the opportunity to visit Porto in Portugal as a stopover on our way to walk a section of the Camino de Santiago in Spain.
I’m so glad we visited Porto! It was a wonderful feast for the eyes as we walked the alleys and streets of the old city.
The street art and murals were particularly fascinating along with the typically tiled facades of the old buildings.
ABOVE: The entrance hall of the Porto Train Station is magnificent, depicting the history of Portugal on its handmade and painted tiles.
I would love to go back and explore some more and possible even start the Portuguese Camino right there in Porto.
Here is some of the street art...
ABOVE: The interesting application on the facade of the 5D cinema is actually etched into the plaster of the building. I’m interested to see how it will hold up over time.

One day I will go back and spend some more time walking down little alleyways, drinking a coffee and taking in the richness of this medieval town. But until then we can enjoy the photos together.
Thank you! I really appreciate it.
Love the 5th photo, the art in it is weird, weird in a cool way
Agreed! I love the character that the street art brings to the town.

I love street art. There use to not be a lot of it close by, but now most of the little towns have some. It's fun to walk around and look at it all.
Cape Town has some interesting street art in certain districts. I’ll have to go walking through the Design District and take some more photos soon.
