HELLO HIVE
When peanut plant doesn't flower there's no chance it will produce anything based on how I have seen it over the years now.
This beautifully captures the essence of so many crops including the peanut plant which I have cultivated every year over the last decade.
The role of flowering
Flowering is way more than just a decorative phase it is the reproductive phase where plant pollination occurs leading to the production of fruits, seeds or in the case of peanut the unique underground pods.
In an occasion where a plant that was meant to flower before production does not flower then as a farmer you certainly know that there's a problem.
It is a major sign of a healthy peanut plant, one that has gradually passed through so many stages towards the stage when we can start anticipating it to produce.
We keep our eyes on so many things as farmers and the probability of missing out on our harvest once the peanut plant has flowered twice is low.
And after producing the flower it will start producing the groundnut from the root at first it will be only water that will be inside the seed before it becomes strong
Flowering is very important for fertilization and pollination in groundnut. Is that ashes or something you have poured on ghe leaves? What is that used for ?
