HELLO HIVE

There are things you can hardly overlook as a farmer. The moment you do, you might end up wasting all your effort thus far, and this post will share one mistake that I made, overlooking something so crucial that it has placed my farm in a critical stage.

Too busy with other work only to go and meet my farm full of weed

🌱 The Early Signs: A Slow Start for My Soya Beans

Stunted growth and yellowing of the plant that ought to have grown to an extent and should have been brightly green in color.

⏳ The Delay That Almost Cost Me

Weeds cause a lot of delay in plant growth since there's serious competition for nutrients, air, and water that's aught to make the crop grow quickly.

✂️ The Comeback: Hand Weeding to the Rescue

It has gotten to the stage where herbicide application isn't possible anymore because of how the herbicide could aggressively affect the crops

🌾 Why Timely Weeding Is Especially Important in Inter cropping

It helps relieve a lot of competition, especially that of space, when you are using inter cropping, cause the process of inter cropping gives limited space, not enough to be shared with any form of weed.

Weeding of grasses from the farm scares me right from my teenage age. My grandma will always want me to do it. Now I normally hirer weeders for that.

It helps crops to do well when the weeds are taken out from them. Try and weed them and on time.
