Holy shit I am still soooo sore this morning! Yesterday I was out the door before 5am to go to town for grain. Zero traffic was nice to make the trip faster.
The Pavilion in Riverfront, I had gone and checked the other brewery in case but there were none there.
I had 4 barrels awaiting me and I was quickly loading them up.
The city was really dead with hardly any traffic at all, which is how I prefer it in general.
Stopped for gas on the way home.
And the first light was on the horizon at 5:45am as I was 5 miles south of the farm.
It was after 8 when I got the trailer emptied. The sheep and birds were all devouring it as I shoveled it out.
10 am I was at my Client's house to get electricity to the light post which hasn't worked except once or twice when they first bought the place.
SOOOO, under the 4inch thick slab concrete walkway I dug. I was not easy but I managed to get over half way through with just the trenching shovel.
Thankfully I was prepared with the pipes and sledges. I got the pipe pounded through and as I tried to remove it it got stuck on a rock and when I yanked it out the hole closed. So I again pounded the pipe through but this time I was able to dig down and find the other side.
This allowed me to slide the wire through as I pulled the pipe out the other side.
I had the exact right length of wire for the run and back filled under the walkway.
Then I tried to find the electrical wire running into the post but found that there is a stub of conduit inside that holds it. WELL SHIT!!!
So back to the house I went to pickup my drill and masonry bit. Had a bite to eat before heading back.
WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS!!! In order to get the wire fished through the hole I drilled in the side of the pillar then up to the top I had to break open the opening a bit bigger to where I could fit my arm inside finally and grab hold the wire. My left arm got a good and scraped on the sharpness but I managed to get the wire run.
I quickly put the post back together and replaced the gravel and feathered and smoothed it out.
The wire got run next to the rock and then ties into the electrical box that the water feature pump plugs into. Atop the box I installed the light sensor. You can zoom in and see it back there behind the rock. It's in a cubby so the lights will end up on longer. We plan to swap the incandescent and small fluorescent out to LED sometime soon so them being on won't be a big issue.
I WAS DESTROYED after all the work. Happy to have it done but wow am I STILL sore!
Got home finally after 3pm to find my magnets had delivered. I got one set made up quickly to see if the net would work and it seems to hold just well enough. I will see how it does today when I head over for some fly tossing.
I had the Seahawks game on the radio as I drove so knew they were killing Arizona but didn't realize by how much until I got home. Surprisingly good year so far for them...
Got a bit of time at the board before my shoulders gave up.
R and I have PT this morning, it's to likely rain later, I need to put away my tools from yesterday, wash my clothes, and today my carport arrives and I will get it built and hopefully my truck parked inside for the work to begin. I'm so sore still....

The Seahawks are off to a better start than the Vikings, for whatever that's worth at this point in the season.
I am not holding my breath, they have a way of shitting the bed in grand fashion.
Minnesota teams, at least MLB and NFL, seem to tend to start in the red and build up steam as the year progresses.
