On Monday and the previous days we had high temperatures. Monday itself was 37 degrees Celsius.
High evaporation favors the formation of supercell storms.
Although I don't know how to describe what hit us.
Extremely strong wind gusts over 100 kilometers per hour(more than 60mph) with very little precipitation and it all happened very quickly. It was all over in half an hour maybe less.I made one mistake, an oversight
I made a fence for the chicken yard out of leftover roofing sheet
It was a quick operation to fence the chicken yard
Last year it survived the summer storms but not this one
The wooden posts in the ground were probably rotting and it was a matter of time
Luckily it didn't fly away anywhere but stayed there
And I also attached the rest of that sheet to the fence next to the garden, to ensure a space for the chickens. But the wooden pole also gave way. Luckily the other poles are metal and well-buried, and some have concrete feet, so it didn't move much.
Of course, since we were left without a fence, the chickens took advantage of the time and came to the front garden.
And did quite a bit of damage.
I had to intervene quickly, straightening up as soon as the wind allowed. I locked the hens in the pen and added a rope as additional insurance so they wouldn't fly over.
After the storm passed and the chickens were cooped up, I had to check the garden. The shade above the tomatoes had withstood the gusts of wind.
But the net on the peppers is torn.
Arches that are made of solid rib reinforcement are curved.
As if some naughty child had been playing, without much trouble everything was torn and distorted.
I visited the orchard and it passed without damage. Only in the yard did the young hazel keep the fence sheet from flying away. And the big hazel is quite shaken.
Then I called my friends and relatives, to check on them and see if they had any damage.
Everyone was relatively well with some minor damage.
Every year it is with stronger storms and gusts of wind.
As it usually happens, nature has done its thing.
It is up to us to repair the damage and move on.

It's not a normal temperature for Serbia, it's too hot. And every year we have more and more days with 37.38 degrees Celsius and it even goes over 40.
