A beautiful new morning to everyone, I hope that the day meets us well and we are healthy safe and sound.

We are still in the harvest season which is expected to last till December, even though we are working tirelessly and hoping that we will bring in all the sheaves before the Christmas and new year celebration.

It is very much important for us to harvest all that we have before that season as we often do not visit the farm during the celebrations and anything left behind might be left to it's destructions.
No farmer will want to lose out on even the slightest grain. It takes a lot of hard labour to to grow these food that we eat.

In this vein we are always on the lookout for the best farming practices we can adopt both to ease labour and to increase yield.
I like the advance farming system I see other blogger across the globe engage in, while we yet work with manual labour and crude machines, the advance technology eases their stress and they are able to grow as much of what they need for food.

For this part of the world it is always a struggle to grow anything, from poor weather condition, to seeds and all.

Gradually we are able to overcome this challenges as the Agricultural companies here are reaching out to the other world to bring us some quality seeds.

Some of the major best farming practice one can adopt is to have quality seeds, some good soil or availability of organic fertilizer to enhance the quality of soil available. Better still one can practice shifting cultivation in places where there are large available farmable land space. And then the weather can be complemented with irrigation farming even though that will consist of expensive technology.

The ones we are able to achieve is the availability of quality seeds. Each and every farming season we get introduced go variety of seeds that are better adapted harsh weather and more productive. While some are readily available, others are scarcely available. Each time we find some quality seeds with neighboring farmers we do not hesitate to learn and access some of such seeds for our personal use.

Can you spot the difference between these two specie of Sorghum. One has produced very substantial quantity of grains on its pallet while the other carried a lot more canty grains.

Both sorghum are already maturing and ripening in preparation for harvest but we can see the influence of better yield on the seeds. Ever since I stumbled on these specie of Sorghum I noticed that it had better features. Been shorter in height, more resistant to dryness from harsh weather and better grain yield.
The Sorghum we have planted is completely opposite of this one.

We are already making effort get some of these better producing Sorghum seeds and you can obviously see how important the role of better seeds for our farming endeavour can be.
