Hello Hive
I'm so happy this morning after we visited the farm and saw that these ears of corn are ready for harvest.
All we need to do is get retailers for it. The harvest of this kind of corn is usually very stress-less for us since there is no form of processing after harvest.
My retailer people just purchase this and take it to the street; they prepare some coals and roast this corn by the roadside for people to buy and eat. Compared to the ones planted during the rainy seasons, we get bothered about how to process the corn.
Having the right species of corn and the right conditions makes farming easy and fun. This is the reason why we have enjoyed a smooth journey with this particular set of 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽. The ears of corn are very big and showing how well these have matured. Our buyers often come with us to the farm for purchase.
We are glad that no animals have invaded this place so far, and we continue to keep constant watch until harvest begins next week.
There are other vegetables that will need to be cared for here. Most especially the fluted pumpkins. Next week will be another pumpkin harvest day, as harvest is often done once in three weeks. Even though it is the dry season, we have been able to successfully grow some veggies and corn for commercial purposes. Not been the only farmer; lots of other people have made use of this opportunity to help their families with the income from Riverside Farmers.
Every homesteader has their portions carved out here, and each one is growing his choicest veggies. I wish that we had more water bodies around or a useful reservoir to encourage this kind of farming. It ensures the availability of nutritious veggies all through the year.
