Hello Hive
This is why proper monitoring of the farm is very important. After a good while of consistently observing our beans for disease conditions or any sign of poor growth, we eventually spotted the rottening in the beans.
The beans has been producing well in and has not faced any challenge. The only major challenges that can affect beans is pestilence and insect infestation. There was abundance of rain for this to grow well and the soil isn't bad.
Having produced flower and the green beans pods already we have now noticed this darkening of the pods that subsequently leads to it withering. Darkening conditions in beans can be caused by two reasons
- pestilence
- Excessive rainfall
The darkening caused by pestilence does not just affect the pods, it caused the beans pods to wither off without carrying any seeds in them.
The seeds pods here became dark and then withered off. Pestilence doest give room for beans seeds to be produced in the pods and even when the do, the seeds gets attack too such that nothing comes out from it eventually.
Pestilence spread fast in the farm and caused so much losses.Sometimea we can end up not having anything to harvest at all. This is why it is good to keep a keen attention and watch out for this disease condition among crops. Once this is noticed then we can begin the use of pesticide to improve the conditions of the plants.
Prior to this time what we often do was a preventive control where we apply pesticides even before these conditions arrive, that is the best approach regarding this. But in order to minimize the excessive use of chemicals in farm (which is good both for human health and for our planet) we have decided to watch out and see if there will be need for it before we go ahead and apply it.
You can see how some beans pods have withered away Already, to prevent further spread that will lead to losses we would be adding some pesticides go this.
I love how carefully you watch your beans and try to prevent disease before it gets really bad, that shows you really care about your harvest.
Maybe you can try also using some natural pesticides so this way, you can reduce chemicals but still protect the plants.
Wow, please do ooo, at least the application of the pesticide is justifiable, so you don't lose them after all the stress. Well done ma
