Never contend with God's purpose

Text: Genesis chapter 37 verse 8(KJV:And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words).

There is a saying "an unexamined life is not with living". In the same vein, a purposeless life is not worth living.

Purpose simply talks about a target, an aim, a set goal or internation. This writing as inspired by the Holy Spirit is to examine purpose in accordance with God's Agenda. I am of the school of thought that believe that problems are the raw materials God uses to produce quality and great men.

According to Genesis 37 verse 2, Joseph a teenager of seventeen years, fed his father's flocks with this brethren as it was in their time and was Jacob's son in his old age which made Israel love him more than all his brethren.

They hated him, not for insulting them or possessing any kind of unpleasant attitude but because his Father loved him. The big question remains.

How did Joseph wrong his brethren by earning his father love? Are men no longer speaking peaceably with you because they have sensed your season of visitation around the corner? Then accept opposition as proof of your progress.

Warfare always surrounds the birth of a miracle, Battle is the opportunity to proof your God and what you believe. Joseph proved that opposition is the tool that takes you from the pit to the place.

The seize of your enemy determines the seize of your miracle. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid of what man can do unto me (Psalm 58 verse 11).

Conclusion:

*Friends, is quit natural for men to contend against God's purpose and reject his word like Pharoah, especially those who do not know God.

*God is not predictable, his ways and thought are different from ours.

*God's rescue may not always come the moment we want it but he is never late.

Don't worry, linger a title more with the gospel and hold on to that positive conviction of your place in God's big picture and that miracle will surely take place. Shalom!
