Dear Hive Community,
I am wondering what would happen, if the Hive Community as whole and in a truly joint effort would stop posting (and even upvoting) on Steem for just one single week.
I think this would be a cool experiment!
Why I should want to do this? Why miss rewards?
We could see then what is really left of Steem. Would it still be a "critical mass"? Some of the few ones still there would maybe realize the ghost town they inhabit. It would be perhaps an EYEOPENER to them and even a final trigger to move over to Hive.
For one week it should be really OK to try it out as an experiment. For example I permanently stopped doubleposting (with few exeptions for specific reason) and I don´t regret it. I think it is generally not quite fair to drain 2 reward pools with one piece of work, is it? Also I love to interact with commentators and I don´t want to have any discussions split between two chains.
Doubleposting and doublecurating keeps an almost dead body alive and creates fake traffic. Whithout it, external people or people undecided yet where to post would have a much clearer picture of where is the real action (don´t forget, just a few know e.g. the differences already now visible from posts like this from @penguinpablo or this from @crokkon).
Here a random snapshot of my feed with doublepostings crossed out. See for yourself what is left. The first post is from a user blocked on Steem so his content is gone for good on the Steem chain (therefore I made an "X" as well).
If you like the idea, then just refrain from any interaction on the Steem chain from 11th to 17th June!
Leave the Steemians by themselves for just one week. You will survive the reduced rewards and they will get a honest feedback about their virtual community.
Apparently, the full impact is only achieved if ALL participate which seems a bit challenging (given the fact I am not in a whale network). But if you are convinced that Hive is the true decentral community social platform, YOUR PARTICIPATION is already a statement and makes a difference.

Ich finde die "Doppel-Post" einiger User nicht schlimm. Im Gegenteil, in zwei Wochen ist der Stake aller meiner Accounts bei Steem verkauft und dann gibt es für mich keinen Grund mehr auf Steem aktiv zu sein. Die "Doppel-Posts" sind dann die einzige Möglichkeit für mich, an Beiträge von Leuten zu kommen, denen ich folge und die gern bei Steem bleiben wollen.
Ich sehe es nicht als Kampf zwischen Steem und Hive oder dass diese Nutzer "doppelt absahnen" wollen. Jeder soll das tun was er mag und wenn er seinen Inhalt auch auf Hive bereit stellt, ist auch eine Bereicherung für Hive. - Die Zeit wird es schon regeln, wir brauchen uns da nicht gegenseitig niedermachen und anfeinden.
Es geht darum zu sehen, wieviel Steem alleine, ohne die post von Hivern, zustandebringt, das ist der "experimentelle" Teil, und zweitens finde ich es nicht ganz OK, doppelt abzukassieren, das ist der moralische Aspekt bei der Aktion.
Aber jeder muss das natürlich für sich selbst entscheiden.

I immeditely moved to HIVE and haven't looked back, other than to get my powerdown.
The stats comparing HIVE and STEEM are interesting.

Warum? Ich lese zum Beispiel Hive nicht, nachdem die Übersetzung von Seiten dort nicht mehr funktioniert. Und ich sehe, dass die Schöpfer dieser Gabel sich nicht um Benutzer kümmern, ich habe die Situation fast jedem persönlich gemeldet

Der post ist an die Hive Community gerichtet. Wer nie auf Hive ist, den betrifft es sozusagen gar nicht. Aber was meinst Du, dass die Schöpfer der Fork sich nicht um die Benutzer kümmern? Es passiert hier wirklich viel an Entwicklungen. Was erwartest Du?
Du kannst auch gern in Englisch schreiben.
Ich kann überhaupt kein Englisch und bis zum letzten Update habe ich es dort und hier mit der enthaltenen Seitenübersetzung normal verwendet.
Nun, das ist alles, Hive ist eine Reihe von Hieroglyphen für mich, und niemand wird die Arbeitsversion zurücksetzen, die Revolutionäre haben ihre eigenen Prioritäten)

not sure about this
many double posts have very low payouts on steem
we have soooo many dapps in the last month, that it is a no brainer that hive will outperform steem in the long run
Right but the many doublepostings blur the picture and breathe life into this corpse and maybe create unjustified hopes for users.
