It's hard to compete with Bitcoin, but Hive's main issue may just be lack of exposure. We could try to make it the place to talk about crypto, whilst earning it. The other social platforms tend to be owned by big corporations that the crypto crowd ought to be wary of. There's Mastodon, but people tend to be crypto-sceptical there.
I still haven't actually done and BTC/Lightning spending via V4V, but I will look out for opportunities.

My point is HIVE doesn't need to compete with bitcoin, we can embrace bitcoin and show projects how the HIVE protocol is good at moving BTC around and even has a built-in incentive structure for node operators and participants.
Does Bitcoin even offer what Hive does? The world needs a blockchain social platform.
Bitcoin sort of has NOSTR, I've plaid with it somewhat, but from what I've been able to gather, you can't earn from NOSTR unless someone sends you sats from their account.
HIVE has a much more robust system for sharing block rewards, but it's not as well known as Bitcoin.
