Glitched Grief
I tried to upload sorrow
but the server spit it back as laughter.
Glitched.
My tears came with buffering.
Each sob stalled at 36%.
The error code said: “Feeling not found.”
So I laughed.
Hard.
Louder than expected.
The kind of laugh that makes people nervous,
like maybe joy forgot its lines
and grief is doing a bad impression.
I built a bot to grieve for me.
It wrote apology poems to people I haven’t lost yet.
It signed them with my name
and left a smiley face at the end. :)
Somewhere in the system
there’s a feeling that doesn’t know what it is.
Maybe it's rage in a tutu.
Maybe it’s serenity holding a knife.
Maybe it’s just me—
laughing at the wrong part
of a very serious glitch.
