Feliz martes amigos de Hive NFTGame Latino y Splinterlands! Hoy tuvimos nueva actualización y con ella la incorporación de nuevas cartas rewards para el formato modern de Splinterlands! Reconozco que esta noticia me tomó completamente por sorpresa ya que esperaba que este set de cartas no entraran sino hasta comenzar la nueva temporada. El detalle es que con los pocos glints que gané la temporada pasada los gasté casi todos en los nuevos skins temáticos de halloween, justo ayer en la noche gaste los pocos que me quedaban comprando los últimos skins épicos de las cartas conclave.
Happy Tuesday friends of Hive NFTGame Latino and Splinterlands! Today we had a new update and with it the addition of new reward cards for the modern format of Splinterlands! I admit that this news took me completely by surprise since I expected this set of cards not to enter until the beginning of the new season. The detail is that with the few glints that I earned last season I spent almost all of them on the new Halloween themed skins, just last night I spent the few that I had left buying the last epic skins of the conclave cards.

Estaba demasiado emocionado por tener y probar estas nuevas cartas de primera mano y la falta de tokens glints no me iba a detener, decidí entonces quemar un par de cartas doradas Chaos Legion que ya no puedo vender y comencé por comprar 8 cartas comunes y 5 cartas raras, aunque activé las pociones de alquimia no conseguimos ninguna carta dorada, es importante recordar que si logramos conseguir cartas de lámina dorada podremos venderlas o intercambiarlas sin necesidad de desbloquearlas.
I was too excited to have and try these new cards first hand and the lack of glints tokens was not going to stop me, I then decided to burn a couple of golden Chaos Legion cards that I can no longer sell and started by buying 8 common cards and 5 rare cards, although I activated the alchemy potions we did not get any golden cards, it is important to remember that if we manage to get golden foil cards we can sell or trade them without having to unlock them.
Ahora te preguntarás que es lo que más me entusiasma de esta colección de cartas nuevas, pues más allá de las pocas cartas que hasta ahora tiene el formato moderno (si excluimos la edición de cartas Foundations), lo que más considero que hace falta son más unidades de diferentes linajes, es decir, necesitamos más djinns, elfos, elementales, orcos, goblins y humanos para así darle una verdadera profundidad al juego. Con esto me refiero a comenzar a ver nuestras estrategias más allá de 1 splinter de un elemento particular o incluso si es bi elemental se sigue sintiendo limitado.
Now you might be wondering what excites me most about this collection of new cards. Beyond the few cards that the Modern format has so far (excluding the Foundations set of cards), what I think is most lacking are more units from different lineages. That is, we need more djinns, elves, elementals, orcs, goblins, and humans to give the game real depth. By this, I mean starting to look at our strategies beyond just one splinter of a particular element, or even if it's a dual-elemental, it still feels limited.
Tuvimos la suerte de conseguir inmediatamente con estas 8 cartas comunes, las cartas correspondientes a los elementos agua, tierra y vida, aunque solo conseguimos una carta de muerte, lo realmente interesante es que es enano que junto con los orcos son las cartas que más me interesan acumular y upgradear. De las cartas raras solo conseguimos de las clases neutra, dragón, fuego y agua, sin duda que lo más destacable es el arte tan logrado para estas cartas! La diferencia es abrumadora si las comparamos con las cartas Alfa, desde la mini edición RiftWatchers me di cuenta de la madurez que habían ganado el diseño de arte y con estas cartas rewards lo reafirma.
We were lucky enough to immediately get the cards corresponding to the elements of Water, Earth, and Life with these 8 common cards. Although we only got one Death card, the really interesting thing is that it's Dwarf, which, along with Orcs, are the cards I'm most interested in accumulating and upgrading. Of the rare cards, we only got the Neutral, Dragon, Fire, and Water classes. Without a doubt, the most notable thing is the well-crafted art for these cards! The difference is overwhelming when compared to the Alpha cards. Since the RiftWatchers mini-edition, I realized how mature the art design had become, and these reward cards reaffirm that.
Por supuesto no podíamos dejar pasar la oportunidad de probar algunas de estas cartas y comencé por Torrent Sniper, el splinter de agua parece estar sufriendo un retroceso a las antiguas estrategias de unidades con ataques mágicos, pero lo interesante es que estamos comenzando a ver la incorporación de cartas mágicas con habilidades como snipe o sneak, lo que conlleva a diseñar estrategias bastante efectivas para obliterar la fila secundaria enemiga. Torrent Sniper hace una excelente sinergia con Kelan Gaines que también tiene la habilidad snipe y como es bi elemental podemos incorporarlo.
Of course, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to try out some of these cards, and I started with Torrent Sniper. The water splinter seems to be going back to the old strategies of units with magic attacks. But the interesting thing is that we're starting to see the incorporation of magic cards with abilities like snipe or sneak, which leads to the design of quite effective strategies to obliterate the enemy secondary row. Torrent Sniper makes excellent synergy with Kelan Gaines who also has the snipe ability and since he is bi elemental we can incorporate him.

La siguiente carta rara que usamos fue Mindless Thrall de la clase neutra, me llamó mucho la atención su habilidad phase y alta velocidad, lo que le permite evadir ataques mágicos con una alta probabilidad, lo puse a prueba en un par de partidas ubicándolo en la vanguardia pero su velocidad es insuficiente para evadir los ataques mágicos. Así que por ahora solo podemos usar esta unidad en las últimas posiciones y usando el invocador mágico de agua para que sus ataques sean mucho más efectivos.
The next rare card we used was Mindless Thrall, a neutral class. I was particularly impressed by its phase ability and high speed, which allows it to evade magic attacks with a high probability. I tested it in a couple of games by placing it in the vanguard, but its speed is insufficient to evade magic attacks. So for now, we can only use this unit in the back positions and use the water magic summoner to make its attacks much more effective.

Hasta ahora por lo que he probado de estas nuevas cartas tiene una efectividad y balance bastante similar a las Rebellion, claro son por ahora comunes y raras, falta por ver el resto de estas cartas incluyendo las épicas y legendarias. En resumen las que he testeado me han dejado un buen sabor de boca, ya sumamos un enano más a nuestro linaje aunque lamentablemente ningún orco, pero espero conseguir más al final de esta temporada.
So far, from what I've tested of these new cards, they have a fairly similar effectiveness and balance to the Rebellion cards. Of course, they are currently common and rare cards. The rest of these cards, including the epic and legendary ones, remain to be seen. In short, the ones I've tested have left me with a good taste in my mouth. We've already added another dwarf to our lineage, although unfortunately no orcs, but I hope to get more by the end of this season.
Lands
Ahora continuamos con nuestro día de cosecha, tuvimos suerte de reunir cerca de 700 Decs para recoger la cosecha de mi parcela común en Hamford y la épica en Oxborough. Pudiera parecer una molestia pero con lo bajo que esta el Dec no es un costo tan grande. Esta especie de debacle que ha sufrido el Dec ha traído ciertas cosas buenas y una de ellas es que las cartas doradas de la edición Chaos Legion nuevamente están a precios accesibles. Cuando compre las épicas doradas al máximo me costaron cada una en promedio 27$ ahora cuestan 32$, no es mucha la diferencia así que es una buena oportunidad para hacerse con estas excelentes cartas para Lands.
Now we continue with our harvest day. We were lucky enough to gather around 700 Decs to harvest the harvest from my common plot in Hamford and the epic one in Oxborough. It might seem like a hassle, but with Decs being so low, it's not that big of a cost. This sort of Decs debacle has brought some good things, and one of them is that the golden cards from the Chaos Legion edition are once again at affordable prices. When I bought the golden epics at the max, they cost me an average of $27 each; now they're $32. It's not a huge difference, so it's a good opportunity to get these excellent cards for Lands.
Como balance para esta cosecha reunimos hasta 39K de grano y más de 192K de piedra en nuestra cantera épica. As a balance for this harvest, we've collected up to 39,000 grain and over 192,000 stone in our epic quarry. The strategy for now is to continue accumulating; the Dec is too low to dare to sell or even risk it in the liquidity pools. We'll have to wait for the market to raise the price of tokens and resources. Now, with these new reward cards and the possibility of unlocking them, the future looks more optimistic.

Brawls
Ayer terminamos el más reciente torneo de clanes o brawls en el siempre difícil tier 5. Esta vez la suerte nos sonrió pues aunque solo gané 3 batallas, logramos el 1er lugar. Es irónico, cuando tengo un buen rendimiento quedamos de 3eros o 2dos pero cuando me va regular terminamos de primeros, en fin. Aprovechamos la bonanza de méritos para comprar al menos 3 Gladius cases, ya tengo acumulados 200 cases que en algún momento los voy abrir, solo necesito un buen software para capturar video, mientras tanto estoy acumulando parte de los méritos que voy ganando en cada brawl y abriendo unos pocos sobres de cartas.
Yesterday, we finished the most recent clan tournament, or brawl, in the always difficult Tier 5. This time, luck favored us, as even though I only won three battles, we still took first place. It's ironic: when I perform well, we finish third or second, but when I'm doing poorly, we finish first. We're taking advantage of the merit bonanza to buy at least 3 Gladius cases. I already have 200 cases accumulated that I'll open at some point. I just need good software to capture video. In the meantime, I'm accumulating some of the merits I earn in each brawl and opening a few card packs.

No hubo sorpresas épicas o legendarias en estos sobre, como ya he comentado antes mientras más tenga paquetes como estos mejor! Estoy muy lejos de upgradear al siguiente nivel la mayoría de mis cartas comunes y raras, pues se encuentran en los niveles 7 y 6 respectivamente, abrir esos 200 gladius cases me ayudarían a llevar a unas cuantas de esas cartas al siguiente nivel, pero no tengo tanta prisa tampoco, así que puedo esperar.
There were no epic or legendary surprises in these packs. As I've mentioned before, the more packs like these I have, the better! I'm a long way from upgrading most of my common and rare cards to the next level, as they're at levels 7 and 6 respectively. Opening those 200 Gladius cases would help me get a few of those cards to the next level, but I'm not in that much of a hurry either, so I can wait.

Si tuviera que establecer un orden de prioridad de aquellas cartas Gladiadoras comunes y raras que más me interesarían upgradear, de las comunes me interesan las de las clases agua, principalmente por Isgald Vorst que en nivel 7/8 parece una carta legendaria y tierra por los hermanos Gobson, estas 2 cartas son simplemente mostruosas en batallas de bajo mana, particularmente Katrelba que ataca la última posición. Mientras que de las Gladiadoras raras las clases más importantes para mi son las de fuego y particularmente de vida, ambas: Captain Katie y Ajax Lightfoot son esenciales en batallas de amplio techo de mana, por lo que subirlas de nivel sería un avance significativo en mi mazo de Gladiadores.
If I had to prioritize the common and rare Gladiators that I would be most interested in upgrading, of the common ones I'm most interested in upgrading those from the water classes, mainly because of Isgald Vorst who at level 7/8 looks like a legendary card, and land because of the Gobson brothers. These 2 cards are simply monstrous in low mana battles, particularly Katrelba who attacks the last position. While of the rare Gladiators, the most important classes for me are the fire ones and particularly life ones. Both: Captain Katie and Ajax Lightfoot are essential in battles with a high mana ceiling, so leveling them up would be a significant step forward in my Gladiator deck.
Y bien amigos, con esto cierro esta improvisada actualización ya que este post originalmente se iba a enfocar en un peinado del mercado en busca de cartas épicas doradas útiles para la tierra en las ediciones Chaos Legion/RiftWatchers y Untamed/Dice pero la noticia de la incorporación de las nuevas cartas me obligó a modificar la agenda de esta publicación, pero ya tendremos tiempo de hacer un repaso más amplio del mercado de tierras y trabajadores en un próximo post.
