Guiding a newbie on Hive blockchain is not for the faint hearted except they are mentally and physically ready to join on their own and not to make financial gains, if not every other thing is a waste of time.
Why would people run away from the opportunity to build themselves in content writing and cryptocurrency knowledge and just be Idle paying people money by watching videos and content on other social media platforms like tiktok, YouTube, Facebook and so on.
If you have ever mentored someone to join the hive blockchain or to be consistent on the platform you would have experienced the frustration that comes with this task. I joined the hive blockchain in 2022, I was working as an apprentice in a fashion designing shop where we learnt tailoring.
It was just 6 months since I joined the hive blockchain and I decided to intimate the girls I.e other Apprentice as to the wonders of what the platform can offer them. At first, the conversation of explaining the entirety of what the platform entails was going so well, I told them about how you can post blogs, comment and also engage on other people's post as it was no big deal or different from the web2 social media platforms.
The first question that came out of one of them's mouth was how much will she be paid monthly. I did not take any offense to this because it sounded normal but I explained to her that her consistency on the platform will determine what she would earn and this could take some time like 6 months. I had not even finished saying 6 months before they all dispersed to do their various activities.
Apparently, they were not ready to put in the work but wanted the gain. I experienced this on different occasion and I got tired of explaining especially to youths that I figure would have no interest in it.
There was even a person I got lucky with and I told him about the pros and cons of the platform and everything he needed to know, he joined quite alright, did the introduction and posted two contents on hive.
Although he made mistakes and the post were not too good or presentable, I tried to correct him on how to be better at organizing his content but he was not ready to learn and kept asking unnecessary questions that even a novice can navigate through but in the end he ghosted me and I haven't heard from him since then.
In conclusion, these days people are not really ready to put in effort and work to grow themselves or their careers. Rather they expect to and as much as $50 on a post or content. Most people are concerned about surfing the internet that makes them pay for the content the consume rather than join a platform that allows you to earn into ways that is liquid hive tokens and hive backed dollars.
