My Android phone is not ordinary, please

Greetings everyone!

Have you noticed how the usage of Android phones is speedily dwindling? Have you seen how everyone is switching to iPhones with ease? And things are now looking as though those who are using Androids are low-class. Mehn, I feel like prosecuting whoever put that mindset in the minds of many!

I have a newly built hair-making office and hall close to my shop, and the staff and trainees there are all females. Occasionally, they come around to patronise me individually or their boss sends them. The ladies (both staff and trainees) make use of iPhones, and it has been driving me crazy. Please don’t get me wrong. Some of them have that tender, not-so-classy look with a touch of 'suffering', but if you check their hands, they’re holding the biggest iPhones, and it makes me wonder a lot. Most times when they come and we want to make transactions with bank apps, we all bring out our phones, and you need to see how their iPhones overshadow my fine Android phone. Sometimes I would just feel like explaining to them that my Android is not an ordinary one. Lol.

Some weeks back, while in church, a lady joined our church unit group, and I was directed to exchange contacts with her so I could add her to the WhatsApp group since I'm the admin. A very beautiful lady, and I intended to shoot my shot during the exchange of numbers. But immediately she brought out her phone and I brought out mine, my whole thought of shooting my shot disappeared into the air. I didn’t stop there; the way she brought out the iPhone felt like she intentionally did that to show off her latest iPhone. I didn’t know the spec, but with the way it was sparkling, it must have been one of the latest in the iPhone series. I didn’t want to swallow the intimidation, so I started waving my phone in a manner that would make her notice that my Android phone is not rated little too. As we were done exchanging numbers, she noticed the smartness of my phone and she asked, “Your phone looks fine, what iPhone is that?”

Guys, you needed to see how my shoulders were raised. My phone, though Android, has the iPhone look. I began to hype the spec of my phone to her, especially stressing that my phone is not in the class of the common Infinix, Tecno, and Itel phones. My phone is a Xiaomi product.

I know you're reading and curious about the spec of the Xiaomi. It's not the low-rated ones, and I won’t tell you either. Lol.

Thanks for reading

Apple builds planned obsolescence into all of their phones. All the iphone owners I know complain about having to replace their dead phones with new phones on Apple's schedule.

I think people are jealous that I am getting by with a cheaper android that costs less and lasts a little longer.
