MY EXPERIENCE during a 3-Day Marathon Fast!...

Personally for me i love to fast atleast once in awhile, the reason being that fasting is a quiet moment of reflecting and connecting deep within my spirit, to allow myself yield to the spirit of God, to have a quiet time, to pray and ponder on some key issues in my life, i love to pray, so fasting is one means of practising quality quiet time with God, to intentionally pray and seek his divine presence, lets say its a lone moment with God were one becomes very intentional about communicating with God on a personal basis.

Fasting usually involves doing a way with foods, drinks or whatever lifestyle to stay focus on having a deep connection with the one who is supreme above everything, ward off distractions and stay solemn.

Fasting was something i began personally, because i need to pray deep about a matter that was bordering me at the time, i would go to church and stay just me, and pray to about a certain time then i will stop, usually from 6am-12noon, or i do 6am -6pm, but the longest i have done is 3-Days dry fasting, meaning i didn't eat or drink or play out or do anything for three days, apart from bath.

It wasn't all that pleasant experience during the three days, since it was something i haven't done before, i wish i could see food to eat, because i was litetally starved, hungry, weak, tired and restless, all these was more on the first day and night, but after the first day, it subsided, i didn't feel it that much, but began to adapt more, i prayed more, sang hymns and engage in some games that helped put my mind at ease.

The reality is that after the first day then the second and third, i was okay, then i broke my three day marathon fast on the third day, now please health wise it is not advisable to eat heavy food after a fast, please eat some lite, like custard, or pap, or cereal just anything lite please avoid heavy food, because its not good after your intestine was empty for days and the first you out there is something heavy maybe due to how hungry you are, try to control your appetite

Apart from that there are other intermittent fasting periods as it suits you,

During the three days dry, it was exhausting, especially during the first day, but the second day passed and i rounded everything on the third, but subsequently i have been holding a fast but mostly 6am-12noon or 6am-pm, depending, it has always been a moment for me, and i loved it,....

depriving oneself of food and drinks for some hours to focus, more on enhancing spirituality and helping to reflect on self growth and personality is a good deal.

I often feel relieved and very okay after fasting and prayers, cause i have poured out my heart out to my creator and i know he acknowledge my request and will answer me whenever i call.....
