I am so happy you've got all your time to yourself.
Little changes add up to be big ones, and the one thing that people do not notice is how easy habits are to form. Not much of a difference between a good one and a bad one.
I have four super brisk ten minute walks each week day now - facilitated by the journey from home to train, train to office, office to train, and train to home. That small activity certainly builds up on the calorific deficit.
My new office also has a gym, and I've started using it after shift as well, instead of trying to scamper home, then back to the gym near my house.
Small little routines. A take away lunch every second friday, and standard, nutritionally complete protein powder in the morning and for morning tea. Then nothing til dinner when I get home. Protein and veggies.
Communal, creative places for work (loke the creative hour) have grown on me after being back in the office for a month and a few days, and I do see the value in the human interaction. On days like today, when its due to be 37c ... id rather stay home, but still. Its Friday.
I think you are enjoying working? 😍 I love visiting our office (although I guess, not my office any more) right in the centre of London, five minutes walk to pretty much everywhere (okay, ten in some cases).
It's great when you can build helpful habits, especially when they're wired into your day. Jealous of the gym at work. Still building my health habits - sleep is next - but really looking forward to be moving onto the creative ones.
37c is hot, I think we've had up to 34c-35c here. I stay inside then. England probably shuts down, the same as if we get a light coating of snow. But as you say, it's Friday!
Rather enjoying it. The people are mostly lovely. The work is interesting enough, and I see this job as saving for my future retirement now that I need not worry about the mortgage. Everyday I go today, gives me a few days later on. :)
