Hades. Aliens! Sasquatch? Descendants of Noah?? This is a very strange story about a deep and complex cave system that runs under Cushman, Arkansas. Cushman is a very small community and is located a few miles northwest of Batesville. There has definitely undoubtedly been some strange things go on throughout the years in this cave system...on more than one occasion, people have entered the cave and never returned.
This is the story of twelve spelunkers that spent many trips exploring there and found a cavern that is said to be 4-5 miles below the surface. Years later, the men all agreed on what happened during those trips to Cushman. All except for one man actually, and that's only because he chose to stay to live below the surface.
Over several spelunking trips, the group continued to push deeper and deeper through small crevices until they finally came to what they called Glass Cave. This was a huge cavern and was once again said to be 4 maybe 5 miles deep by their calculations. The men used Glass Cave as their home-base during the last several trips.
While in Glass Cave, or cavern, the men noticed a glowing green light surrounding them. They turned off their light sources to and after their eyes adjusted they were still able to see thanks to the green light. They were amazed, allegedly, by the sight of serpent like animals that they said we're huge.
The men, after doing some investigating, were able to find yet another crevice that enabled then to explore even deeper. The story told by these men says that they eventually encountered a humanoid race of people with pale, blue glowing skin. They were about 7 feet tall and had large eyes, but they were human.
The technology that this subterranean race processed was said to be very highly advanced to the point where they could use it to detect whether visitors had bad or good intentions. The spelunkers were free of any bad vibes so they were aloud to visit a few times more.
In the end, the subterranean race showed the visitors just how huge their underground civilization was and showed them how the giant serpents did not get along with a separate hairy humanoid creature so neither of them were aloud in their large cities and had to wander in the huge, dark expanse of the cave system.
On the next to last trip, the men were told that they were actually in the presence of the descendants of Noah. They had escaped to the inside of the Earth after the deluge destroyed a highly advanced civilization. Sounds like Atlantis to me...
One man stayed behind in the end to live with the subterranean dwellers and was never seen again. It is fact that all recorded traces of this man disappeared shortly after the other men returned for the last time.
