Spurs have now played twice on a Saturday night at 8pm. And being a 43 year old with 2 kids, this time is just perfect for me. Saturday night, a couple of pints in the pub watching it. Sheer bliss. But I was going visiting Santa Claus at 10am on Sunday morning so this was a Saturday night by the fire watching it. But first I had to put the kids to bed. Bedtime is showers and books. Santy in morning early in Cork so I had an excuse to be early to bed and storytime done. However it overflowed until 10 minutes past 8 which was fine. I would only miss 10 minutes of the start of the game. I came down to the sitting room. Turned on the TV and here we are 2- nil down to Fulham..... FULHAM. FML.
After conceding 4 against Arsenal , 5 against PSG and now 2 against Fulham it was safe to say that many of us Spurs fans were a bit disgruntled over the past week. Arsenal was terrible and even worse having Eze ruun riot against us. PSG was frustrating because individual errors and Fulham was just the final straw in a way. The Spurs fans started booing Vicario because he was a disaster for the 2nd goal. He has always been a disaster really and the Spurs fans just started booing him after the debacle of the second goal. At half time the Spurs players gathered in the centre of the pitch and had a little mini meeting which was strange to see. They should have been going down the tunnel and getting their manager to tell them how bad they have been. They walked off to a host of boos. Something that has happened now a few times. This pragmatic style clearly not working. But this is what we wanted right? This is what we were moaning about under Ange.
I am not going to do a game review but Spurs were better in the second half and got one back with Kudus. But in the end it just was not enough and Tottenham have some work to do before Newcastle on Tuesday bloody night. Pedro Porro was the latest player to storm down the tunnel but ran back out and started shouting at Lucas Bergvall for clapping the fans on the half way line. He disagreed with the treatment of the goalkeeper and was totally against clapping any fans. I don't know what I think of this really. I think the Spurs players have created this rod on their back around going to the South Stand to clap the fans. If they don't go to them now there is criticism. Djed Spence and VDV refused a couple of weeks ago and created a problem for Thomas Frank.
But with all this going on, it can be said things are not rosy in the garden. And as Mick McCarthy once said "It Can" after being asked if it can get any worse I suspect the same will happen for Tottenham over the next few weeks. I always seems the wheels come off the wagon in November. It happened to Ange in both his seasons before Frank and now it is happening to Frank.
Yes we are still plagued with the injuries to Maddison , Kulusevski and of course the big number 9 Dominic Solanke and these are key players for Spurs. One can say when these are back we do not have a bad squad at all at all. Now Frank is not known to start well and he did start well so this is the bit where it catches up on him but we are in danger of losing the head here with his pragmatic approach so this is a turbulent time in his short reign. While we look over our shoulders at legohead and how he nearly go the heave hoe and now look at him pulling up trees at Woolwich trying not to come 2nd again. This year is their year I reckon. I will go as far as to say if they do lose it at this stage then they are the biggest bottle jobs in world history and I shall be waiting on Discord for @ogewitty @belemo and my aul pal @amirtheawesome1 for a full debrief and meltdown. The fact the the arseholes are doing so well makes it even more grinding that we are not. It magnifies things. This is a low right now for Frank. Porro came out in a statement and said wait for the end. It will be better but after his disaster class against Fulham he should not be saying naught!
So confidence is low going into Newcastle on Tuesday night having lost our last 3 Premiership games. But sometimes in these games we get a glimmer of hope so I would not be betting against them on Tuesday. This is the time to actually back them.

Every time I see Richarlison, I think of you 😆

😂 I'm more a falcon than a pigeon

Too many mediocre players with no fear of losing their place or contract

Tonight is a strange one. Get hammered 8-0 or beat them 4-0 . Its one or the other.

Romero. Legend!

Love the celebrations

We got away with the one .
