Another week, another dispassionate display of football from the Manchester United players. The Carabao Cup game against Newcastle was yet another example of a group of players trying to expedite the sacking of another manager.
However, I believe that most fans are wising up to these old games. We have witnessed this same script happen against Mourinho and Solskjaer. Today it is Ten Hag.
The mainstream media vultures are already circling. The disgraced, low-of-the-low gutter press hyenas are already poking, snapping at the heels of Ten Hag, and churning out the same old 'dressing room leaks'.
Only a fool would allow themselves to yet again be manipulated into repeating old mistakes.
The cancer at the heart of the club
For years now, the club has been in a state of suspension. Like a fossil sealed in Amber, the club has stayed in the past and managed to resist any calls to modernize and rebuild the football structure - the very core of a successful football club.
The Glazer ownership has been at fault. Their desire to control every aspect of the club, even where they have no expertise, has led us to this point. Even at a time when the ideal choice was to sell the club for well over 6 million dollars, they choose the bid that would allow them to continue draining resources out of the club, the success on the pitch be damned.
Now, with the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the lack of communication has made things worse. The lack of clarity from the top is absolutely affecting the performances on the pitch. It shouldn't, but it is!
What if Ratcliffe fails to get a pathway to a full acquisition (as reported) and drops his bid in the 11th hour?
We cannot go into the new year without a clear and better ownership, as well as a way forward for the club!
Backing the manager
Manchester United as a whole has for a long time been synonymous with player power. Both club and fans have had their favourites. One one hand, you have Pogba, Martial, Ronaldo and now Sancho, for example. Players who have had severe deficiencies such as regular injuries, being poor professionals and not having the physical level to compete in the league. What is worse, all of these players commanded either steep fees or huge salary demands. They were meant to be a sure bet!
On the other hand, you have a manager who has consistently rebuilt his Ajax teams once they have been sold every other season while managing to remain successful on the pitch.
How did Ten Hag manage to do that?
He had a strong and professional team above him to support his vision. Look at what is happening to Ajax, now that the structure has collapsed.
Ten Hag must be allowed to clean house and not have to deal with remnants of previous regimes. Finally, a competent football structure must be put in place to support Ten Hag.
We cannot keep repeating the same toxic cycle for another 10 years. Something will have to break!

Couldn't agree more on ETH. He hasn't been doing perfectly, however, slow but steady wins the race. Slowly cleansing the club of bad influence and bringing in hungry spirits is much more fruitful than just pile on players with a rotten core.
Before I would have been trying to defend the likes of Sancho over the manager but watching him it is clear he doesn't have the mentality to survive at United.
I am with Ten Hag till the bitter/sweet end. I hope he gets given the time he needs to clean house and implement his vision.
