Despite a favourable looking set of fixtures, last week's matches ended up being one of the lowest scoring GWs so far this season.
Without naming names, we had one team deliver a GW total of 14 points with the highest score just 52!
Blanks for manager favourites like Haaland, Salah, Watkins and Son as well as the fact that of the top 6 clubs, only Man City and Newcastle managed to record a win meant that many of our head to head fixtures were determined by relatively few, yet very precious points.
This week sees the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Brighton and Villa enjoy home fixtures against opposition that you would expect them to beat fairly comfortably so expect transfers and captain picks to be aimed at these 4 clubs.
So the good news is that things can only get better in GW12! Right?

GW12 Fixtures
Division 1
@b0s v @shamzy
Last month this looked likely to be a clash between 2 teams at the top of the table but since then Legion FC's form has fallen off a cliff resulting in them losing 4 matches in a row. By contrast, Shamzy not only extended their unbeaten run but benefitted from other results going their way. They are 3 points clear of 2nd spot but the gap thereafter is growing larger by the week.
Legion FC used their wildcard last week and so have set themselves up to have a decent squad for these next few rounds. The main differentials between the 2 sides however come in defence. Not only are the individuals different but there is also no similarity in the clubs that the defensive differentials play for so plenty to watch on that front.
In more attacking areas, you'd say that Legion FC hold a slight advantage given the fitness concerns surrounding Maddison and the fact that Palmer faces his old club in Man City on Sunday.
@talesfrmthecrypt v @thoth442
Defeat for both these teams in GW11 impacted them at either end of the table. Suffragette City slipped back to the bottom of the league while thoth442FC are now 6 points off top spot. However, while there is a big difference in league position, recent points hauls and the similarities in squads suggest this will be a tight game.
At the back, both sides have Arsenal defenders who could well cancel out each others points haul against lowly Burnley, assuming that Arteta doesn't look to rotate his squad.
In more forward positions you'd say that thoth442 hold the advantage in regards form, fitness and the fixtures this weekend. Watkins has blanked in his last 2 GWs but has expected goal involvements in those games of 1.8, suggesting that it's just a matter of time before he starts to fire again.
@pvmihalache v @yagman01
This looks like it will be a fascinating tie between 2 sides who have a lot of differences across the squads. In fact, it's probably easier here to identify the similarities with only Haaland, Saka and Areola appearing in both of the teams.
That variation helped Content Creators in GW11 as they put up a very competitive 47 points, a higher total than any other side in Division 1 managed last week. However, when you look at their totals for the weeks proceeding that, it's clear to see that when some of the more popular picks across the game perform that Content Creators struggle.
On paper, you'd say that the attacking options that Yagman FC possess, many of whom have favourable home matches this weekend, as well as the fact that Content Creators are down 2 defenders, should see them over the line in this one.
@belemo v @amirtheawesome1
It's a grudge match between 2 of the content creators for Hive FPL and fellow Arsenal fans. Inzanagi's form over the season has been patchy but they maintain a place in the middle of the table 9 points off the top and 6 points clear of The Amirians who have slipped into the relegation spots with their 2nd defeat in as many weeks.
Inzanagi FC face a bit of a selection dilema with 4 of their squad definitely missing GW12 while 2 other players are listed as injury concerns. Ensuring they get 11 men out on the pitch will be the most important part of their preparations.
The Amirians are left with a problem in goal now that it appears that Matt Turner is no longer Forest's first choice. Chelsea have found clean sheets difficult to come by and you wouldn't expect one from a game against Man City this weekend, a problem that is further amplified by having Colwill in the squad too.
In more attacking areas the real question is whether Darwin starts against Brentford. Liverpool are good at home and so if the Uruguayan gets on the pitch then he's got a chance of matching Haaland. Of course if Liverpool put in another poor performance (no win in their last 2) than that could impact Salah's contribution as well.
@deniskj v @vickoly
The bizzare nature of the head to head league means that the side 2nd bottom (I Feel Qatari) actually have a higher points total that Augment FC who are 2nd. Will their relatively lucky and unlucky streaks continue in this fixture?
However, one of Augment FC's reason for success is that they haven't followed the crowd in a large number of their selections and that means they are alway primed to take advantage when some of the more popular picks fail to deliver.
As we can see from the list of differentials, this one will be a fascinating watch with only Haaland and Watkins common picks across both squads. Equally, when you consider the massive points variation between these 2 sides in recent fixtures, it seems unlikely this will be a close game
@elmose v @blockchainfpl
BlockchainFPL moved up and out of the relegation places with a 4th straight win, making it 5 in a row could move them into the top half of the league! By contrast Espada Numero Uno's defeat keeps them in the bottom 5 with just 3 wins all season.
However, this looks likely to be a pretty close contest with very few differentials between the 2 sides.
Trippier certainly gives BlockchainFPL the advantages as far as defenders are concerned but otherwise you'd say that Espada Numero Uno just about shade it in the attacking areas of the squad.
Blockchain FPL will be dependent on Odegaard getting over his knock not to mention Spurs overcoming the shell shock of Monday's madness. Meanwhile Diaby has had a goal involvement in 3 of his last 4 home matches for Villa.
@martinlazizi v @teofilex11
This match sees the battle of the Mo Salah appreciation society. No prizes for guessing who both managers are likely to pick as their captain in this one...
In other parts of the squad, Lazz are somewhat hamstrung by the fact that they have 2 Chelsea defenders in their squad, neither of whom are guaranteed starters against City.
In forward areas, the likes of Bowen and Mbeumo have been doing the business in recent weeks, while Likodra also go for the in-form Calvert-Lewin. Everton may not play attractive and expansive football but Calvert-Lewin is slowly working his way back to fitness and form and has 3 goals in his last 6 EPL appearances.
@gvkanten v @borran
Hungry Lions paultry score of 19 last time out is the lowest of any Division 1 side in a single game week and while Hiveheadz weren't able to offer much more, they did manage to sneak an invaluable win which moved them out of the relegation places, level on points with today's opponents.
At the back, the fact that both Lascelles and Porro play away this weekend and as part of defensive units suffering with injuries and suspensions might give Hiveheadz the upper hand particularly if Tsimikas and Gabriel are handed starts.
In more forward positions, young Brighton midfielder Adingra scored again in midweek and seems to be a regular for the Seagulls at the moment. Otherwise it's Son v Bowen and Alvarez v Watkins with Hiveheadz again having players who can bank on home advantage in GW12.
@pappyelblanco v @nonsowrites
Nonz FC played out Division one's first draw of the season in GW11 while both teams' points hauls were impacted by Spurs red cards last week, an issue that persists into GW12 with the suspension of those players. Replacements for those suspended and injured Tottenham assets might mean the already long list of differentials in this game increases.
At the back, Nonz FC certainly have the bigger, more expensive names to choose from but whether Gvardiol and Tsimikas actually start their respective matches could be a key factor in defining the outcome of this head to head - both were left on the bench during GW11.
In midfield, every manager will be looking to see what the impact of James Maddison's absence has on the attacking output of Son but otherwise both sides have plenty of potential points scorers across that area.
Nonz FC have followed a few other teams in brining in Darwin Nunez. The problem with Nunez is knowing firstly whether he's going to start (he's started only 5 EPL matches this season) and then what kind of form he's going to be in. He's a high risk, high reward purchase in the FPL.
@ipalibo v @mckane
FC McKane got a much needed win in GW11 to keep them 3 points above the relegation zone while WhyteFC's winning streak came to an end with a hard fought draw.
FC McKane currently only have 3 available defenders so the list of differentials could grow, however, Onana, Saliba and Lascelles are all very likely to start and all have pretty good odds on keeping a cleansheet this weekend.
In midfield, Bowen has 7 Premier League goals this season but only 1 at home. Whyte FC will hope that the winger can replicate that away day form when West Ham host an incosistent Forest team on Sunday.
Upfront there's not too much to choose between the sides. Cameron Archer scored with an absolute screamer against Wolves last week to hand Sheffield United their first league win of the season. On paper it looks like a tough trip to Brighton on Sunday for the Blades but it should be noted that the Seagulls haven't kept a clean sheet in the league yet this season and haven't won in their last 5. Can Archer help orchestrate another shock result?

Good luck in this weekend's head to head matches!
It was tough last week, I am carrying injuries so not expecting a win this week either 🤣
Seems like there are a lot more injuries at this stage of the season than there were last year
