Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. The Champions League has gotten off to an incredible start. It has not disappointed us with some incredible matches in the past two days since the competition started on Tuesday night. It has been intense and also entertaining, but it is not over as we still have more Champions League matches to be played today. Newcastle United will host Spanish Champions FC Barcelona today at St. James’ Park as both teams will battle it out for the three points to go up in the league table.

Newcastle United are a top team and have done their best to recruit new players over the summer, especially since Alexander Isak was keen on leaving the club this summer to join Liverpool even though the club didn't want him to leave and were offering to increase his salary in a new contract which was submitted to Alexander Isak, but the Swedish striker didn't change his mind about leaving the club. The Megpies are a tough team, no doubt, and I have been following their performance over the past years since Eddie Howe took over as manager.

They were a solid team when Isak was with them, and now they are still a top club, which is why it will be bad for Barcelona to underrated them as they head into the match tonight. Newcastle United will try to exploit Barcelona by using set pieces or playing crosses into the box because of their new striker Nick Waltermade who is tall. This guy is even taller than FC Barcelona's tallest player Ronald Araujo by a few inches this just shows how much of a threat he will be at the defence from set pieces and also he is good with the ball on his feet, I have seen some clips of him during his time at Stuttgart he is a solid striker.

Many Barcelona fans will disagree with me but I strongly think Ronald Araujo should start tonight against Newcastle United. It is true that Ronald Araujo has cost Barcelona matches in the Champions League in the past, but in today's match, he is suited for the job to stop Nick Waltermann at the defence. The Uruguayan is physically strong as well and good in the air, so I see no better reason why Ronald Araujo should not start tonight against Newcastle United. Hansi Flick and his coaching team will be making the decisions and I am sure the manager will do what is best in selecting the starting lineup in tonight's match.

FC Barcelona will be playing against Newcastle tonight without Lamine Yamal as the youngster is still recovering from his injury, but he is expected to be back in action when FC Barcelona face PSG on the 1st of October, which is next month. The club wants him to be at 100 per cent for that game and will not take any chances rushing him back in action to avoid any complications. It's all going down tonight between Newcastle and Barcelona in the UCL, and I am sure this match will not fail to deliver entertaining moments. Hopefully, at the end of the 90 minutes, FC Barcelona will leave with all three points. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
