Good day everyone, to my blog. Something interesting happened this past day on X, and I find it interesting as it is a thug of war between FC Barcelona fans on who should win the Finalissima between Messi and Lamine Yamal. Firstly, Messi will always be the GOAT no matter any slander or any other fanbase trying to downplay the World Cup he won in 2022. I would say this again: I already saw Messi as the GOAT even without the World Cup title, which just solidifies many Messi fans' claim that he is the best.

Now these two Lamine Yamal and Messi, what do they have in common? He is starting their career at La Masia and has become the centre of attention at the club, but there is something that separates these two which is Lamine Yamal has a lot to prove in the football world because there have been doubts by some pundits and even past football players on his attitude which I don't find strange as Lamine Yamal says and do his stuff on the pitch, but he still has a lot to prove, while Messi doesn't have anything else to prove to the world.

Messi has won major trophies for club and country during his career. Messi has a World Cup title, 2 Copa America titles, 1 Finalissima and an Olympic Gold medal in his international run which is more than satisfying for him as he can end his career knowing he accomplished all these titles with the national team, but as for Lamine Yamal he has only the Euros to his name which is incredible at the age of 17 already an Euros champion which is only the major international trophy won by the youngster so it won't be bad if Lamine Yamal wins the Finalissima.

Argentina will play Spain for the Finalissima trophy which is expected to be scheduled this year. There are a lot of Messi fans who want Messi to win the Finalissima trophy over Lamine Yamal and I get that because I am a Messi fan, but I would prefer Lamine to get this trophy this time to add to his achievements and it would be crazy hearing a 17-year-old has two international trophies, plus winning the best national team in the world Argentina to win the trophy. It would make a lot of headlines, and the comparison Yamal would be having with players like Arda Guler or Endrick will become meaningless.

My take would not sit well with some Messi fans and I completely understand that but it's time for someone new to get the spotlight and yes we will never see someone who did the things did on the pitch week in and week out especially his 91 goals in a calendar year as we are yet to see any player break that record to this day. Messi will always hold a special place in football for many, and his name will go on to live for generations. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
