A post, I made about four days ago about Trent Alexander Arnold's possible exit from Liverpool this summer has seen more light as Fabrizio Romano dropped an update on the Real Madrid and Arnold links from the reports things are getting close to being finalised by the two parties which is surprising to me because I wanted to believe that by the end of the season Arnold would change his mind about everything and choose to sign a new deal with Liverpool, but all that is about be just a dream as Arnold departure is already becoming a reality day by day.
This news when I first saw it a year ago, I thought it was just a mere rumour and nothing concrete, but now it's becoming a reality. The Reds are out to lose one of their valuable players for free in the summer, but nothing is just crazy. There has not been any news about Liverpool proceeding to offer or try to convince Arnold to stay at the club, which is surprising because I am the Reds to go hard and give Arnold a stronger reason to continue at the club. Arne Slot, when asked about the situation with Arnold, has given the best response so far to the press.
Fabrizio Romano said that Real Madrid has sent their salary package to Trent's camp so all that's left is for Trent's camp to analyse the deal and see what is best for their client and then the final green light will be given to Real Madrid to kick start the signing of Arnold for free in the summer. Fabrizio Romano also said the salary would not be a super start salary as the club wants to keep this neutral and not over-push with the personal terms with Arnold, but the deal and agreement will be convincing to get the Englishman at the club next season.
Honestly, there is no way Trent will say no to Real Madrid after the proposal that has been sent to his camp. It is very difficult to say no to Real Madrid as if they want you, they will do everything in their power to make sure it happens as we saw with Luis Figo, who left Barcelona for Real Madrid, and we all know how that turned out for Figo during El Clasico matches. It was one of the biggest betrayals Barcelona fans felt, and they didn't hesitate to show how they felt about Figo going to their rival club.
It is going to be a long week, but I just hope Trent makes his decision after the league is over, as the focus now should be on Liverpool finishing the league at the top of the table and winning the EPL title for the first time in four years ending Manchester City's dominant years. There should be more updates in the coming weeks on Arnold and Real Madrid's possible move in the summer, which I will share here, but for now, I say goodbye.
