Then why does anyone need a witness actually! Technically anyone can run witness, it's not that difficult tbh. Still it's all about those behind those witness names. Those that are good at networking and socialising got the way up. Well, PR is important, but still running a witness node is just not that difficult, for that top witnesses get quite a good pay even at current price.
