My Battle In Splinterlands - Weekly Challenge with SERPENT OF THE FLAME.

Hello All,

This is another post in splinterlands sharing my battle for SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

THEME: SERPENT OF THE FLAME
Edition: ALPHA/BETA
Rarity: EPIC
Element: FIRE
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Retaliate at level 1; Poison at level 3; Piercing at level 5

It is a melee attack monster with Retaliate at level 1; Poison at level 3; Piercing at level 5.

This is a nice card with 1 ranged and 5 speed and 9 health in level 1 and it requires 6 mana.

Retaliate Ability:
When hit with a melee attack, monsters with retaliate have a chance of attacking their attacker.

Poison Ability:
Attacks have a chance to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied.

Piercing Ability:
If melee or ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's armor, the remainder will damage the target's health.

I'm going to share my last battle with this monster.

I played with Dragon Splinter.
Battle mana cap was 21.

There was one rule for the battle which is-
Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

CHALLENGE RULES

I'm tagging #splinterlands in this post.
My lineup.

I used Camila Sungazer as the dragon summoner.
Before I played the battle, I bought a Serpent of the Flame of level 1 to see play with it.

Camila Sungazer

Camila Sungazer is a legendary dragon summoner in untamed edition.

This summoner has the ability to give all enemy monsters -1 melee attack.

This summoner can go upto level 4 with 11 cards.

Level 1 card of Camila Sungazer can support level 3 common, level 2 rare, level 2 epic and level 1 legendary monster.

My monsters: Serpent of the Flame at first place then Manticore at second, Ettin Spearman at 3rd and Furious Chicken at the last place.

Marketplace.	Serpent of the Flame: A fire big sized snake with flame. This card is so strong and powerful with big powers. It's an epic fire monster of alpha/beta edition. It has three abilities: Retaliate at level 1, Poison at level 3 and Piercing at level 5. This monster can go upto level 6 with 46 cards.
Marketplace.	Manticore: This is a flying lion that has a tail of a scorpion, it's like multi powered. This card is so strong and powerful with big powers. It's an epic dragon monster of reward edition. It has three abilities: Flying & Reach at level 1 and Thorns at level 4. This monster can go upto level 6 with 46 cards.
Marketplace.	Ettin Spearman: This is a two headed beast that is so strong and powerful with big powers. It's a common fire monster of reward edition. It has two abilities: Piercing at level 3 and Knock Out at level 8. This monster can go upto level 10 with 505 cards.
Marketplace	Furious Chicken: It's a rare neutral monster of reward edition. It has one ability: Enrage at level 5. This monster can go upto level 8 with 115 cards.

Serpent of the Flame is a good fit for the rule set because of it's abilities and powers.

Question: Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?
Ans: My strategy worked and I'll likely to play with this card next time.
It's a good card with nice power.
Question: Do you use Serpent of the Flame often? Why or why not?
Answer: I don't use this card often because I didn't need to. But I hope I'll use it more often from now on in big mana cap battle.

Battle Details: The battle went well.
My opponent had some tough cards, especially the one that was on the first position and that card did very nice in the battle.
The theme card "Serpent of the Flame" of my team tried to attack the opponents melee attacker but failed again and again and then it died.
Manticore did nice in the battle and Ettin Spearman also did nice.
I won the battle for these two monsters.
