Negative impacts caused by illegal mining activities

in GOAT.Gang5 years ago

Welcome back to my blog This time I will share my experience a little about what I have seen recently, namely about the negative effects of an illegal mining activity. Both those arising from the short term as well as the effects arising from the long term due to the illegal mining activities.

For most people, the name mine is not something strange to us. Mining is the name for a company that manages products from natural resources, be it oil, metal, copper, coal and even land. Mining companies are indeed very promising from an economic point of view, both for owners and workers. Maybe because the processed mining products have a high price or maybe there is still a very large selling market for these mining products. What is clear is that mining is a very promising business. However, from behind it all there will definitely be negative effects that can be caused by the process of managing the company, both waste and sewage which will have a huge impact on the residents around the mining company. Whether it will have an impact in the long or short term. There is no difference between illegal and legal mining, both of which will have a negative impact in the future. Yes, maybe a little difference for their legal mine can minimize the waste disposal they manage. And if they are an illegal mining company, let alone permit waste management, they don't have it, so we can imagine how the negative effects of the emergence of this mining company, both legal and even worse, are illegal.

We start talking in terms of environmental damage in the section on air pollution. It is very clear that air pollution is very pronounced around mining activities, both from the smoke generated from the management of mining materials and the smoke from vehicles passing by and taking mining products that are ready to be processed to the point of sale. After that, environmental damage is also marked by changes in soil texture which are decreasing due to excavation or dredging of heavy equipment activities in each mine. Not only that, the waste resulting from disposal will usually also be flowed into rivers and other public sewers which will have negative consequences for river and water ecosystems of course. This is of course very worrying for us, not only humans who still rely on river water as a source of daily water but will also threaten the population of fish and other living creatures. Yes, maybe another effect that I have seen directly is the damage to public facilities such as cross-village roads that are traversed by cars and heavy mining equipment that carry mining materials, causing a lot of burden and over time the road will break down by itself. Although all of us must have been aware of the dangers of environmental damage as I described above, but this mine is increasingly managing it. Even though the community and other organizational elements strongly object to these activities, this company still stands majestically in the midst of our environment. I don't know who here can blame the government or the company itself.

Yes, maybe a little description from me is not perfect to describe the negative effects of mining activities as a whole. However, I hope that from my writing, we can imagine the negative effects of these activities. This is one of the portraits of mining activity that I have succeeded in capturing along with the information I wrote above. Let's protect our environment because nature has provided many benefits to our lives.
