Difference things have different meanings that suit each time, there are things we often do because we enjoy doing them, likewise there are certain people that we get inspired and motivated by their achievements as well as hold them in a high esteem, follow their page and stay updated to their content, music or words, while others we admire them from a distance.
Having such people in our lives either in a distance or close by, spurs up this desire in our conscious mind to stay updated in whatever they are doing, or their newly released album, inspirational or motivational talks e.t.c
So I would like to say that having a fan simply means enjoying your fan's work, either music, books, and other creative activities the person engages in, it also indicates support, admiration, celebration to such a person.
And on the other hand, I see a follower as someone that tends to track and stay updated to the activities of the person they are following, oftentimes, share their post, comment on it etc, and also I believe that most times followers could interact with the person they are following, but it's not so with our fan, we only admire, celebrate and support them from a distance.
Before one is considered to be a fan of being fan, there are certain things that the other person admires, and wishes to imitate, support and tend to go a mile to stay updated to their activities. The world is a beautiful place, where billions of people, known and even unknown might fan you unknowingly, reasons being that most times we don't pay attention to most of those things, rather we try to live a life of good report, busy sowing unforgettable seeds in the life of others etc.
Hence, when we have to understand that when this occurs many will be attracted to us, and we ought to be conscious that we have fans, people who are looking up unto us. Having fan indicates a unique character, successes, impact and achievement that has left great impression in the heart of many.
So I would say I have fans as well as followers, those who admire, celebrate and support me, I might not really know what they admire, but I believe that whatever I'm doing i ought to do it well, knowing I'm being read daily by those around us as well as those afar.
