RE: Mannheim's historical heritage: bunkers and the grid-like street network - Das historische Erbe Mannheims: Bunker und das gitterförmige Straßennetz

Peace is certainly a thing to be valued. I hear people wanting a war. They just speak of it because they only think of the winning end strories. They don't think of the miseries people go through in the process and afterwards.

Preservation of past things make us able to see the time and wirh our imagination we csn understand the pain or glory our ancestors lived with.

Mannheim's seems to be a beautiful place till today

You are absolutely right. Peace is indeed an invaluable commodity that is often overlooked. It is sad to hear how some people advocate wars without considering the grave consequences for people. Focusing on victory alone neglects the immeasurable suffering that occurs during and after conflict.

Preserving the past is a powerful tool. It allows us to look at the experiences of our ancestors and understand with empathy the ups and downs they went through. It reminds us of the importance of learning from history and ensuring that such painful chapters are not repeated.

Mannheim has a rich history and is a wonderful place today. The connection between its history and its beauty today makes it a place of special meaning and value.
