Sabang is an island located in the westernmost part of Indonesia which has the beauty of the sea. Sabang has a number of beautiful beaches with clean white sand. One of the beaches that have become a tourist destination in Sabang is Rubiah Island Beach.

The city of Sabang consists of several islands which are known to offer the charm of stunning marine tourism. The islands in Sabang are hunted by local and foreign tourists to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world, as well as exotic beaches. One of the islands that is quite famous is Rubiah Island.

Rubiah Island is an uninhabited island, which has an enchanting underwater beauty. In fact, because of the beautiful panorama offered, this island is also dubbed the Rubiah Marine Park. The condition of the island is still natural, as well as maintained its sustainability makes this tourist spot a paradise for lovers of snorkeling and diving.

Weh Island, Sabang City, Aceh Province. This island is located northwest of Pulau Weh. To get to the island, tourists can use the route from Banda Aceh to Ulee Lheue Harbor, then use the ferry to cross to Pulau Weh. The ship's departure schedule is opened every two days.

After arriving at Pulau Weh, tourists must first head to Iboih Beach. From here, visitors can rent a motorboat or speedboat to go to Rubiah Island. The trip to the island from Iboih Beach is only about 20 minutes. The rental price that is set is also quite friendly, starting from Rp. 20,000 per person.

When arriving at Rubiah Island, tourists will be greeted with truly amazing natural scenery. The vast expanse of blue ocean with clear water, green hills, and beaches complete with white sand will spoil the eyes of visitors. Small boats passing by will also be encountered by tourists.

In around 1900, this island was used as a transit for pilgrims who would go to Mecca. In ancient times there were no planes, so pilgrims had to use ships. In addition, during the war, this place was also used as a fortress, which until now can still be seen as the remains of the fort.

I've been to Sabang several times and always try to go to Rubiah Island even though I don't really enjoy the beauty of the coral reefs because I'm not good at swimming. But when invited, I never refuse.[]
