It is so nice that it is already Sunday again, since it means that this is the last day the owner will stay in the villa, before they fly back home. I also would like to apologize for my lack of engagement this week since I was a little bit busy.

This Sunday I only have two species for you to enjoy, one is a scarab beetle, and the other one is a mantis.
The beetle is Hybosorus orientalis, is a species of scavenger scarab beetle found in Nepal, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Sumatra, and Java and Bali since I found it here : ). It is a cute beetle, but if you know what it feeds on, I guess you would not want to touch it. The adult feeds on an early stage of carrion, which is something that I would never think this little cutie would do. But nature is amazing, right?
unfortunately, I only got two photos of this beetle, since it run away pretty fast right after I started taking photos of it.
next is this paying mantis of Amantis reticulata, a species of praying mantis that can be found in South East Asia. I really like the color and the pattern of this praying mantis. so beautiful. A beautiful insect for this beautiful Sunday. : )

I kind of expected to the the mantis in green but this one has color I'm don't usually see.
Nice shots! I guess it was a shy beetle... Most mantis' here are green, interesting to see one that color. Very cool! How have you been?
