For a long time I thought that the biggest problem with an insect was its predators. This is the second time in less than a week that I have found a grasshopper and when photographing it I realize that it has parasites or vermin (red mites) attached to its back.
It is possibly the dry season that we are going through, since previously I had not noticed these small invaders in any of my photos.
I have learned some things, among which is to observe very well before picking up any of these insects since, despite being harmless, they can be carriers of some type of pest that is harmful to me.
As you can see in this grasshopper, it has a very good camouflage to avoid any bird that walks nearby, but it was useless against this insignificant enemy that it is hanging on top of. I say goodbye with much affection and thanking you for your constant support. I wish you a nice night.

Por mucho tiempo pensé que el mayor problema de un insecto eran sus depredadores. Esta es la segunda vez en menos de una semana que encuentro un saltamontes y al fotografiarlo me doy cuenta que tiene paracitos o alimañas (ácaros rojos) adheridos a su dorso.
Posiblemente sea la época seca que estamos atravesando, ya que anteriormente no había notado estos pequeños invasores en ninguna de mis fotos.
He aprendido algunas cosas entre las cuales es observar muy bien antes de agarrar alguno de estos insectos ya que a pesar de ser inofensivos pueden ser portadores de algún tipo de plaga que si sean dañinas para mí.
Como pueden observar en este saltamontes tiene un camuflaje muy bueno para evitar cualquier ave que ande cerca pero no le sirvió de nada ante este insignificante enemigo que lleva colgado encima. Me despido con mucho cariño y agradeciendo su contante apoyo. Les deseo una linda noche.
