The medlar fruit are slowly ripe

Can be eaten when the frost has made the fruit soft and musky.
The fruits of the medlar are edible after exposure to frost or longer storage. They can then also be made into jam. Today the medlar is rarely cultivated.

Medlar eaten raw is good for diarrhea and cystitis. Loquat can lower cholesterol. Medlar are digestive.
