Monuments can transmit a tradition of a nation. A monument can be built with a dull object but a monument is not just a lifeless object it can be a representation of a story that a nation can be spirited. After winning a lot of historical events people in our country tried to express their happiness through a monument. In our city, we have a lot of monuments.

Because we have earned our freedom through winning the devastating war of 1971. We have a lot of monuments related to the war, related to the historical victory of 1971. Monument of the first picture is named Shaheed Minar. In English, it's called "Martyrs Monument".

This monument is built to remind the great sacrifice of Bengali people in the language movement in 1952. There is a lot of similar monument all over the country. I took pictures of the monuments from two educational institutions in my city.

Genocide was committed in the war of liberation. This monument was built in the wake of one such incident.

This is also a pillar based on the liberation war which is located at the bus terminal of Parbatipur city. Portraits of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and freedom fighters are displayed on this pillar.

This is also a monument built in memory of freedom fighters and is located in a railway area. All the pictures I have shared today are of liberation war-related pillars. These monuments have been built to present the history of the Liberation War to the new generation.
