The process of making sago flour

in CCH2 months ago

Hello all essence friends, meet me again at this opening, I want to discuss several processes for processing sago flour.

There are several ways to process sago flour circulating among the public manually or by using a rice grinding machine. On this occasion we used the manual technique taught by our grandmother to grind sago to make the process of taking sago flour easier, namely by grating it.
We made this grate ourselves, namely a board that we nailed neatly and then we shaped it like this.

The way this tool works is simply by rubbing it until it produces smooth sago to make it easier to extract the juice from sago, namely sago flour.

After completing the grating process, the next step is the process of soaking the finely grated sago, prepare a large bucket, don't forget to use a cloth to separate the sago juice from the sago dregs, then we knead it with water until the sago juice comes out, if you feel the juice has come out. then throw away the dregs of the sago until everything is finished.

To make it clearer, we can see it in the video

After that, let the soaking water sit for about 5 minutes, wait until the sago juice drops to the bottom, then drain the water and put it in a sack so that the water content in the flour reduces.

OK, that's enough for this meeting, we'll meet again next time.
